This former cafe has been bought by a local fish monger family who now do one dish of the day, fish of course, and a limited range of panini type snacks. I lunched there during the week with visiting family and very much enjoyed beautifully cooked fish and attractively presented vegetables. On the negative side, there were no starters offered, although... More

Stopped off for a coffee .Excellent can't say anything about food as we didn't have any.Only criticism is that tables are so close you hear more of other peoples conversations than you'd like!

Nice little cafe, right in the center of this historic village, great place to sit and watch the world go by. WIFI available Hopefully stay the same, has just been taken over by a lovely french lady and her son, who both speak some english.

Right in the square in Eymet. The owners are English and are a lovely couple. There is seating inside and outside. There are specials on the blackboard every day with things like fresh soup, freshly baked crumpets and scones. Lovely coffee too.

Please can we have some French people eating in the local restaurants and bars. The food here was ok and the coffee was good but not strong enough as it seems to cater for the English taste. Even on market day in Eymet everyone was English, why bother coming to France to only experience English things. The sandwichs were ok... More

When I go to a foreign country I expect to be served by locals, eat local food and mingle with the locals. Certainly not the case here in Eymet! It seems everyone is English, no wonder they call it Dordogneshire. Even the menu was more English than French and the English owners certainly didn't approach us with any of the... More

...but the milk in the lattes was burnt and the pain aux raisin seemed to have been cooked from frozen or similar as they we hot a sweaty rather than crispy and topped with that lovely crystallised sugar as they are typically sold. €14 for two lattes and two pastries seemed pretty steep too and we left feeling pretty ripped... Situated on the square in Eymet with outdoor and indoor seating. The blackboard advertises Bakewell tart, scones etc but I had a ham baguette so can't comment on them. Great place for a snack or just a coffee to watch the world go by.

When we arrive in Eymet we always make our way to Kismet for creamy coffee in large cups and hunks of buttered toast - best day to go is Thursday on market day to feel the French atmosphere. Run by an English couple it is simple, but inviting - there is a hardcore local French customers too which is a... More
