I keep on coming back here whenever I'm in Corfu town. If you like real Greek food then you won't be disappointed. Try the Galious Brordetto cod. It's a Corfian speciality, slightly spicy cooked in the oven. I've sailed around Greece for nigh on 30yrs, & know how to rate a good nosh !! No disappointments here. Average prices, not... More

One of the best meals we had in our trip. Proper-made Greek food, reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. More than filling quantities and the best quality. The food is cooked daily and therefore it's fresh and home-made style. The waiters were very friendly as well. We'll definitely revisit.

It was beautiful experience to eat in the place that ovners and waiters treat you not like a tourist. The food was very tasty, value for money. And the ovners (the same time waiters) are really Greeks - honest, strong, friendly but and te same time uncompromising. And very charming :) It was the best choice to eat in Corfu... More

Not only is the food and atmosphere really Greek and not touristy, it was a real bonus to chat to the kitchen staff and learn some of the secrets of the tasty dishes we had. A real bonus has been that back home, from simple feta with herbs and olive oil in a really good bread, homemade tzatziki, to steak... More

Have visited many times. This is an authentic Greek restaurant serving many quality dishes. There is no compromise made for the tourist market. This is proper Greek food which is unmatched by the tourist restaurants. We recently visited the Sousta restaurant near Bristol. The food there is a joke (and not a funny one for the price paid) compared to... More

A great place for a good traditional lunch after a visit to the market in the busy heart of old Corfu.

We tried this one lunchtime after reading the reviews and it was one of the best meals we had in Corfu town. Every pot we saw looked delicious just a shame we could not try everything!

This is the 2nd time we have eaten here and again, totally delicious! First brought to our attention by Rick Stein on his Mediterranean cooking series. It is near the old food market, San Rocco Sq. Hunt it out and you won't be disappointed! There never used to be a menu (sadly, there is one now). Much more fun being... More

A friend and I wanted to sample traditional local food at its best, and settled upon Taverna Rouvas, a small family run restaurant away from the tourist area of Corfu. What a delight! Service was quick and efficient and we were encouraged to wander over to the kitchen to view the many, large pots of freshly prepared food. A wide... More
