Newly born Greek Eatery in downtown Mykonos, Bakaló is a casual chic diner with retro decorative touches reminiscent of a Greek bistro of a bygone era but with modern flair. Its menu is a tribute to traditional Greek home cooking and is prepared using only fresh local ingredients; its friendly service and prices make it ideal for alfresco dining and people watching.

Quite enjoyable

I had the lamb shank which was very tasty. My wife had the grilled octopus which was also tasted very good. She wished the portion was larger. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were inline with other restaurants catering to tourists.

ok so the inside decor is trendy (think 1950s grocery store with Tide detergent, large tuna cans etc stored on metallic shelving and pretty uncomfortable high metal stools to sit on) and the service ok (if you don't mind the waiters-on-repeat passing by and saying - rather than asking - "everything alright - good"). The food had some delicious tastes... More

My visit to Bakalo was incredible. Every little detail on this restaurant was incredible. The decoration is in an incredible vintage style, the food is extremely good, with simple dishes with a modern twist. I totally recommend to go there!

The place was nice and the food was tasty and presentable, try the turkey meatballs and the shrimps. Only downside is that it's very loud and just at the beginning of the town so there are a lot of people waking up and down

Tasty traditional Greek food, quite expensive, nice ambience - averagely better to other restaurants in Mikonos town which are very touristic.

We were a group of 5 and were looking for a nicer meal during our stay in Mykonos. We were not disappointed. From the time we arrived until we left the staff made us feel welcome. We are vegetarian and our waiter quickly pointed out what we could have, and even spoke with the chef to see if there was... More

Eating here is like eating at the home of your best friend. You simply feel welcomed from the minute you step in until it's time to leave. We made reservations here through our travel agency, TruGreece. They did not steer us wrong. At first there were only 2 couples there but knowing Greece, the place was packed by the time... More

Great things from a small restaurant. Good setting in the front courtyard to watch the passers-by while you eat and chat. Top marks to any waiter that knows his menu and knows what variations the kitchen can accommodate. Impressed with the yummy honey sweetie pie for dessert ... I'm sure I got the name wrong but hey I'm on holiday... More
