Description: Newly born Greek Eatery in downtown Mykonos, Bakaló is a casual chic diner with retro decorative touches reminiscent of a Greek bistro of a bygone era but with modern flair. Its menu is a tribute to traditional Greek home cooking and is prepared using only fresh local ingredients; its friendly service and prices make it ideal for alfresco dining and people watching.

Bakalo has perhaps one of the worst locations in Mykonos Town. If you are sitting outside, you will be crammed together with other tables and practically in the narrow street which is frequented by motorcycles and cars. Expect continuous noise and interruptions to your meal. Our Dolmades were definitely the worst we tasted in Greece: cold, stiff, and severely undercooked... More

We consider ourselves fairly picky eaters, which makes this review all the more important for those who are looking for delicious Greek cuisine in a town rampant with tourist-trap restaurants. Bakalo serves not only some of the best Greek food we have encountered, but the staff is amazingly friendly and the ambiance was charming for a romantic dinner. It is... More

The best meal we had in Mykonos but expensive (our bill came to 80 euro for two). Delicious traditional Greek food with some pleasantly unique flavors and seasoning. We ordered the moussaka and lamb dishes and both were outstanding. Good, friendly service but some of the outside tables were positioned so close to each other that a skinny waiter couldn't... More

Great traditional greek food with a modern flavor! A really nice place for a dinner, with great staff! Chef Giannis created very delicious dishes! For sure, try stuffed mushroom, cheese croquettes with tomato & lemon sauce, homemade spinnach pie! For maine course, try sea bass and calf! Bakalo is a restaurant which upgrades all the area of Lakka

Well that was serendipitous. We wandered about Mykonos Town looking for one place (that was fully booked) and another (that we could not find), when we stumbled upon this place. With a buzzing atmosphere, and efficient but friendly staff, we were seated at an outside table. The lamb was the best I've had yet on this trip and the Green... More

Very small, reservations highly recommended. Food was great and so was the service. We loved everything about this place. It was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The staff are professional, helpful, and friendly!

In the middle of mykonos' pedestrian area we managed to have the large table outside giving us the perfect viewpoint. Service was very professional and friendly. Food was excellent. I had a superb classic moussaka. The stuffed squid looked even better. Everybody was happy with their food. House wine was light and fresh in metal carafs. 34 euro per person... More

- located in "downtown" Mykonos on a cozy little street (no cars, pedestrian area) - reservations recommended (very busy) - service extremely courteous - bread with dip (2.50 per person) - starter: sardines with cinnamon bread (10 EUR) - Amberjack souvlaki (Souvlaki Magiatiko) with taboule (fish very tasty; 25 EUR) - Shrimps saganaki (Garides Saganaki; with tomato and feta cheese;...
