I visited Gola many times in my staying in Mykonos. Each one was a new gastronomy experience for me and my friends. The restaurant has great dising and amazing view.
The good:
- Nice decoration
- Great atmosphere in the restaurant
- Amazing view of Chora and the surrounding area
The bad
- Food pretty average if you have some experience with Italian cuisine; nothing new; nothing special; just good food.
- For the prices being paid not much innovation in the plates being served. Food does not even come...

I really don't understand why this restaurant is so highly recommended...we ate there and found the place to be soulless. Admittedly, the setting is picturesque but the food and service is soooo disappointing.
The menu tries too hard and the chef is unable to deliver his aspirational dishes.
Very expensive for an instantly forgettable evening.
Avoid...there are far better options...

My husband and I were looking forward to our dinner but were a litle disappointed with the food. If you are looking for a place with excellent service but ok food then, is not bad.
Food and setting was beautiful. Service was very good and wine selection solid as well. Prices however are high; I was here on my honeymoon I was prepared to pay up, but we were both happy we did. This was one of our favorite restaurants in all of Greece!
Probably the only good thing about this place is its location. In the menu nothing of impressive (except for the prices, which are ridiculously high even for mykonos). Having paid a huge sum, couldn't even eat the food they brought (waitress was straightforward n arrogant- if we dont like the food, its our fault, we can either order smth else...

Dear AnnaK,
Thank you for writing your review on Gola. We are sorry your experience with us was not what you expected. I remember clearly your party, as I personally approached the table at the end of your meal as I was informed by my staff of your concerns. As I underlined during our friendly conversation, being every single night...

This is our third visit to Mikonos over the years and I am happy to see that Gola still goes strong.
Gola sits on top of a hill overlooking the village and with a great view onto the sea. With white washed walls and floors and a harmoniously shaped plunge pull it would not be out of place in any...

We had a very refined and excellent dinner at this restaurant last week. Every nuance and detail of the decor and food presentation is thought through with great care. For example, the bread and other accoutrements come in wooden boxes custom made to fit the particular items that are served. The outdoor dining room is situated around and over a...

Gola has been around for a few years, and I've been there several times and pleased that it has been able to maintain the buzz and level of service and quality. It seems that it's largely on account of its owners, Edgidio and Nikos, who are there each night working along side a great staff and making sure customers are...

My meal was awful and I did not eat any of it. I had to argue with the waiter for 15 minutes for him to remove it from the bill. We had 4 people and were charged $40 dollars for the bread!!!!!! They do have a pretty view. Only go if you enjoy getting ripped off.
Dear RobertHouston,
Thank you for writing your review on Gola. However we must confess that we are very surprised, as we have instructed our waiters to get feedback from our clients on every single dish, and nobody from our staff recalls any complaint being raised with them by a particular guest; we are even more surprised by your mention of...
