You're lost walking around the Hora of Mykonos and suddenly, opposite a grocery store, you see a small door with a couple of tables outside which is the "Maereio". Great food, very interesting menu, a nice combo of Greek traditional flavors, fascinating use of herbs, large portions and fair prices. You can be full with one portion and a salad... More

Best Greek food and service in Mykonos. located in the heart of town the restaurant provides the best food in the island. Be early as there are no reservations however sitting at the bar and enjoying the hospitality is a must.

After tried many Mykonos restaurant, we tried even this. The two twin brother who run the restaurant are kind and the food is very nice greek food at a very reasonable price (for mykonos). The service is fast and the quality is nice. They don't accept reservation so be there early or prepare to wait.

I've heard lots of good recommendations about this place. They do not accept reservations, and quite often there's a short waiting time to get seated (there are only 6 or 7 tables) I was lucky and got a seat at the bar... The service is very attentive and kind. Food smells delicious Love it A must visit if u r... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and so glad we went. It was a bit hard to find, but worth the effort. The food was outstanding, so authentic and fresh. They make a lot of their own foods, the sausage meat, spicy cheese, sauces are just a few. The flavour of the meals was so delightful and big... More

I ate here three nights during my nine night stay in Mykonos. The only place I went more than once. As lots of others have said it's small and rather rustic. Feels very authentic and not mass produced tourist stuff. Menu is ample but not extensive. I think that they focus on the quality of food as each dish I... More

Finding good (affordable) food in Mykonos is not easy. This is why Maereio is probably your best choice if you want to try Greek cuisine, witout the folkore around it. The place is small (and you cannot reserve, so you go and wait) and manages to be elegant without being pretentious. The service is very friendly and competent and every... More

We visited this restaurant on our previous visit to Mykonos and were looking forward to trying the food again...and it was just as good as before..it is quite small and a good idea to get there pretty early as it soon became busy..among the dishes we had were Meatballs,Soutzakakia,Chicken with leeks and Pork in spicy sauce all of them excellent... We enjoyed a nice evening here. The food was really nice and authentic. The location is not luxury. However, the service is friendly and not stiff either. All is just easy going and seems to work for the customers. This place felt less touristic then all other places we went and the price level is really okey, too. We will... More

This restaurant had been recommended to us and we really enjoyed it. It is a minuscule restaurant so go early or you will queue in the street. There are only two tables outside and six tables inside, plus stools at the bar. The food was really good, rustic style, no fish. The service was excellent .A little gem!
