We came to camp a while ago and I forgot to write how much me and my partner enjoyed it, friendly staff, amazing food! Especially the steak was cooked to perfection and to top it of even had a sticky toffee pud on the menu! Lovely place for food and camping! Will definitely be back!

It's usually busy, and it's the good quality standard fare that makes it so. Of course, the warm and hospitable welcome add well to this. I'm happy to recommend for lunch or evening meal.

Always busy on a Sunday so book a table! The Sunday Roast is excellent and lots of it! Meats from the carvery and a huge range of veggie accompaniments with Vegetarian options as well. I've been a few times, usually with a group and we were well accommodated. There is a skittle alley room available to book for groups if... More

Hi, Thanks for your great review. Especially pleased about your vegetarian feedback, that was a priority of ours this year to expand the offering. It seems to be working. Great advice for everyone about booking tables on a weekend, even a phone call a couple of hours in advance on a Sunday can be both invaluable to us and good... More

We regularly visit the Bickerton Poacher for a carvery on sundays and it's only occured that I haven't posted about our experience here yet. Simply put, the Bickerton Poacher is the best carvery I've had. We've also been in for lunch/dinner in the past as well and been equally impressed by the food then as well. Our latest visit was... This pub has it all. Great location, excellent food (we had both dinner & breakfast), great beers-theakston's, excellent hospitality and all sensibly priced. We stayed in the camping field at rear of pub and enjoyed 2 fine days of walking on the sandstone trail. Although a busy pub,the staff really work hard to ensure you are looked after.

After a long walk on the nearby Sandstone Trail, we went to the Bickerton Poacher for a late lunch. There was a good varied menu and the smoked salmon open sandwich was lovely, filling and very tasty. An excellent pot of tea and then later coffee. Service was friendly and the venue, warm and comfortable. We stayed chatting for 2... More
