Dog friendly county pub

This is a lovley place. The interior is great and in the winter it has roaring fires. It's very dog friendly and the food is good. It also has an amazing selection of gins and runs regular tasting sessions.

We were staying approx 25 miles from this place, however we had by chance come across it on the Internet and by golly it did not disappoint. We were a party of 4 plus a rather picky dog. We all enjoyed our lunch ( The dog had his own special lunch along get with doggie beer) The ambience of the... More

Great food and pets are genuinely welcome. We send loads of our B&B guests here and they all rave about it.

Had a very good Sunday lunch here so went back later in the week and enjoyed a second meal there. Was made to feel welcome with our two dogs in all parts of the pub and and it is a quaint picturesque place to spend some time in. Would use more oftern if we lived closer.

Went for lunch with a couple of friends of ours, three of us asked for the pork belly with chips instead of mash and all three of us requested no gravy, the food arrived in reasonable time to be fair. But all arrived complete with mash and with gravy, we did question this and a very nice lady who took... More

Stopped here for a Sunday roast whilst out, menu is fantastic! Pub platter to start-very big portion! Roast beef was like butter! Seasonal fresh veg and gravy to die for! Desserts are also bloody amazing! The brownie is massive and delicious! Great selection of real ales and a massive amount of gins to try! Can't wait to return!
