We spend a lot of the winter time here in Lanzarote and have walked past this restaurant many times. Our big mistake! Never too late and on a friend`s recommendation we booked for dinner. From the moment we entered and the warm friendly welcome we received from the French owner and his son, I had the feeling that we were... More

Good menu and very friendly staff, will definitely be visiting again. Although we have been to Lanzarote many times we have never eaten at this restaurant before, our mistake, great food and well worth a visit.

Visiting a French (owned) restaurant in a Canarian resort isn`t something I would expect to do.. But I`m so pleased that we found this place with it`s sea view and tasty lunch menu.. Excellent house wine (all colours) and food choice.. Returned for dinner a couple of times..Lovely soups of a fishy persuasion, plus steaks and casseroles of high quality..... More

We found this restaurant last year and left a positive review. I am delighted to say that on our return visit the food is just as delightful and the service and ambiance just as lovely. I can genuinely state that my bouillabaisse was as good as any I have tasted in France, if not better. As others have said please... More

It may not be situated in the most idyllic spot in town, but this little restaurant is well worth a visit. Small selection of wines but carefully selected by the French proprietor. Food was very tasty, service personable. Would recommend a meal at El Marinero.

A great find close to the old town & harbour. Open Monday to Friday only. Great traditional French cuisine home cooked. Don't let external appearances put you off!

Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and superb food. Just lovely not to be hassled in from the pavement - a real joy to sit, eat and relax. We had the Canarian set lunch which consisted of a huge salad, canarian potatoes (lots), prawns sizzling in garlic oil, a huge plate of whitebait cooked with a light touch, a plate of a mozzarella...
