Pleasant lunch

We had an enjoyable lunch here. The grilled Sole was fresh & well presented. Friendly atmosphere. Would certainly go there again.

We really enjoyed all our meals at this restaurant , good choice of a wide range of meats, fish , pasta , pizza . The canarian potatoes were very good as was the grilled tuna so tender, service was very good and attentive , recommend the sticky toffee desert and the Irish coffee a must one of the best I... Had dinner here twice during our week in Puerto Del Carmen. The food is pretty good - not at the levels of Casa Cabana or El Toro, but you get generous portions of well cooked food. The service was excellent. It's a really busy place but the waiting staff found time to have a quick chat with us or a... More

We returned here after visiting a few times last year, and it did not disappoint. We shared lunch 3 times in 1 week, BBQ chicken wings (and I never eat off the bone) but these were so fresh and delicious. And we then shared different pizzas, when we advised we were sharing they brought the pizza out already separated on... More

An interesting first visit given the recent negative reviews, however my wife our son and I all felt that the staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was good and food portions generous, tasty and well presented. We still have a couple of weeks of our holiday left so there will be another visit to this restaurant.

I don't know what is going on at the Ancla, this used to be our favourite restaurant in Puerto del Carmen. We paid a visit, the waiter knew we were there because he gave me the wifi code. Then we waited and waited, there seemed enough waiters hanging around. A waiter apologised for the delay, so we waited a bit... More

Gave the El a good review in the past but it is really going down hill. Needs a menu refresh and a maître d!

Walked for a good hour to get here along the front. Service was excellent and the breakfast good value. Nice to sit and look at the port

I really don't like leaving bad reviews. I know people generally work hard and do their best so I only tend to write bad reviews when a place is awful in more ways than one. I really cannot think of one good thing to say about El Ancla. We ate breakfast here and we waited an hour and a half... More
