GOOD FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE

The food, service and atmosphere in El Ancla was very good. This is a great place to visit and if ,like us you sit outside next to the Boules Court you can enjoy watching a game.

This was a fantastic meal here. The fillet steak on a hot stone is fabulous, it comes to your table on the hot stone cooked rare then you just move it around the stone til it's at your required tast and it just melts in the mouth. The staff are all very enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble for... More

we had dinner here one evening as it was in an ideal location next to the harbour. It looked lively with lots of diners. We shared pizza bread and fish croquettes for starters. I didn't like the pizza bread, there was a stale taste from the garlic, maybe stored in oil a little too long. He thought that it was... More

El Ancla on the edge of the port in Old Town Puerto del Carmen is particularly good for breakfast. It's available until quite late and there are several versions. We find the Irish or English both excellent. The Irish is slightly bigger. There is also a continental version. All are at very reasonable cost. Personally, I like my eggs a... More

We have been coming here for a long time and have had breakfasts/lunches and evening meals here. We love the tapas for 2 sharing board which is always good as are the items from the grill and pizzas. The staff are fab and some have worked here for a long time. Views from the harbour are great and is an... More

Reasonably priced 'tourist' restaurant with friendly staff and WiFi. Had a pizza in here which was delicious and because it was cloudy one day, a full English breakfast which was tasty but not that hot. Didn't see many locals eating here but would recommend this place. :)

If we haven't eaten here we usually end the evening with a drink. The food is good ,especially the pizzas. The only thing that is disappointing is the tapas but there are many places to eat that . All the staff are great and many have been here years, all with a sense of humour. Added to that there's entertainment in... More
