Great for ale-lovers

Great ale, friendly local pub, delicious hand-cooked food. I recommend the sandwiches they have on their lunch menu, particularly the chicken tikka one. The chips are also very tasty!

I've always like the Rum Runner and it's always been a good pub. A nice choice available and polite and friendly staff. Could do with a lick of paint.

Had not been here for a few years. Visted midweek and found the welcome most warm and friendly( even was asked what music we would like to hear on the sound system) There was a nice selection of real ale and were given the chance to try before you buy. The beer was well served and the bar staff knew... More

We had an excellent lunchtime meal on Sunday. Although all four of us were vegan the meal was well presented and tasty, which is unusual for vegan pub food. Further, the ambience and friendliness of the staff could not have been bettered. Non veggies during this visit were equally impressed. Highly recommended.
