The perfect Pizza

It was a very nice experience having lunch at Taverna del Perugina. The food was excellent, the place cosy in a perfect Italian way. I came to Italy from the USA on a mission to eat any dishes with Truffles. I can't say enough about my dining experience here. There were 7 of us and I sampled just about every dish that was brought to our table. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was superb beyond words but my Truffle pasta exceeded all of my... More

At the bottom end of the main street, this taverna serves a lot more than pizzas. Try the prosciutto and figs for a starter or if you are a bit more adventurous the lumache (snails) served in a spicy rich tomato sauce. The pizzas are huge and wafer thin, they melt in your mouth. For our next visit, I think... More

We visited the place as a group of 8 adults and 8 kids. The Food was really tasty and fresh like home-made. There is a big variety of pizzas to choose from. There are also very good primary and secondary dishes. Once eating in the Taverna del Perugino, we just reserved a table for the next day and we were... More

Excellent truffle pasta, good pizzas and starters. Friendly service. Had to book an hour in advance to get table for 6 on a Saturday lunch in August. Recommended. Beautiful town also, with relatively few tourists. Well worth a detour!

Out and about on a hot August lunchtime and chose this restaurant on a whim because it had a notice saying all the pasta was made by hand! And it was! Great pasta with fantastic cinghale sauce, and freshest melon, tomatoes and some of the best buffalo mozzeralla tasted yet! Good value, friendly staff and homemade desserts as well. What's... More

Went for lunch with family. Pizza for three of us which went down a treat! Very big (could definitely fill two) and very reasonable pricing - quite cheap really. Gnocchi for one which he said was great and very filling! Fish for one too which she enjoyed a lot! All in all lovely staff, efficient service, big portions and fair... More

This restaurant had local delicacies as cinghale and pici with truffel. It also serves good ragu for kids and some nice wines. The terrace is lovely in this medieval Italian town, even though the afternoon traffic races up the narrow street.

Yes, it is the most perfect pizza ever to be made, eaten, and enjoyed. The salads were fresh and delicious. The grilled vegetables were fantastic, and the other entrees that our friends had were lovely. However, truth be told, it all paled in comparison to the pizzas. Every bite more delectable than the next, absolutely NO law of diminishing return,... More
