The Durham Cafe was very inviting visually on entrance. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was well prepared and very tastey. All five of us are from out of town, but we never felt like outsiders. I ordered the same breakfast as I had elsewhere in town and it was vastly superior to other restaurants' attempts. With good... A couple of friends took me here for lunch as I had been 'off sick' and they felt I needed a boost. The atmosphere was very homely. The home cooked food was very nice and more than enough-soup and a 1/2 sandwich. They also have a selection of baked goods of which I bought a couple of very tasty home... More

Been hearing about this place for a long time and finally had the opportunity to give it a try. It is a greasy spoon style restaurant that was packed with regulars which is a good sign. The waitress was extremely friendly and efficient and seemed to know a lot of her customers by name. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the... More

Durham Cafe is a quaint restaurant that is a favourite to many of the local residents. On a Saturday or Sunday morning we often run into friends and neighbours who continue to enjoy the home cooked food.

We stopped into Lindsay on our way from Toronto to Ottawa - although a bit off the beaten path the extra few minutes are worth it. We had a nice family meal, soup, salads and sandwiches primarily. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and served hot (or cold). Good friendly service too. My only recommendation to the restaurant would be to... More

I have gone a few times to Durham Cafe for breakfast and lunch. I have heard it was an amazing restaurant. I found that it was average. It has a cozy feel inside and staff was very nice, as well as the food was good, but I did not believe it was anything exceptional. I would like to try something... More

Awesome breakfast place but it would be worth the wait if you have the time. Have only had breakfast and it is great! Service staff are also great!

My son goes to Fleming College in Lindsay. I drove him back to school after reading week and he said we had to try this great little restaurant. He was right. They have a wide selction of salads, gourmet sandwiches, burgers all-day breakfasts. My son had a Honey Hoisen Beef Pita which was outstanding. I had Corn Beef Hash topped... More
