Good & cheap food

The food in Genting is quite costly. We tried the restaurant in this mushroom farm. There's free transport to pick and send us with a phone call away. Our family goes to Genting highland at least twice every year, even with Resort World or Marina Bay Sands just minutes away from our home. When we visit Genting, most of our dinner will be held in this place, Mushroom Farm Zhi Char. One of the mixed mushroom many style is must try. Fishes are fresh and in good quality.... More

Food at Genting Highlands can be expensive. This restaurant just less than 5 minutes from the Genting hotel complex is cheap as compared to that in the Genting Hotel Complex. If you want cleanliness & great atmosphere, this is not the place for you. But if you want good Chinese food at a reasonable price, this is the place for... More

Food in genting are getting expensive. Was told that mushroom farm Zhi char food are quite nice and cheaper. There are free transport by mini van from first world interchange to mushroom garden. There are 2 restaurants there .one is 9100 the other 836x. We prefer to eat at 836x restaurant as the staff are more friendly. Both restaurant food... More

There are 2 restaurants at mushroom farm - Meijing Restaurant and Mushroom Farm Restaurant. Please be warned not to go to Mushroom Farm Restaurant as it rips off customers - it charged us RM20 for a small plate of roast pork (which would probably cost only RM8 at most in downtown KL), giving the lame excuse that ingredients are more... The place is a little shabby to be called a restaurant. If you don't mind hawker centre/coffeeshop style, then this is the place to be. The free shuttle bus/van brings you from your hotel in Genting Highlands to the restaurant and back. Food is not bad and value for money. Try the butter fish. It's a favourite with kids and... More

The Mushroom farm is located just below the hill from the Genting hotels. There are vans provided by the Mushroom farm restaurants that wait around the bus terminals (Genting bus terminals) that will take you to the restaurants. But make sure you patronize their restaurants if you follow their vans. You can also walk down (5-8 min walk) down slope... More

Have been here at least 8 times, its a cool place as expected from high altitude, there are abt 3 restaurants there serving mostly chines food, the varieties are many, the price, compared from the restaurants in Genting proper are much cheaper, though the service are wanting. However that is to be expected in a normal restaurant,it takes some time before your food are served, but on... More

Brilliant, not only do you see them grow, but you get to choose off the mushroom menu. Lots of mushrooms that we have never seen before, it was tricky getting back up the hill and a kind driver from one of the hotels let us jump in his van.

Went to the restaurant once for dinner. What you need to do is to call them and they will provide van to pick you up at you hotel. It was very crowded art 8pm still. Had about 4 dishes pllus drinks and spent around SGD50. Which was way cheap compared to the food in genting highland itself. Quality was good... More
