Heaven

A real gem in a quiet back pedestrian street. Jaime Uz is a fabulous and talented chef- creative, managing to balance flavors superbly. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed the food - great appetizers (don't miss the scallops and the apple gazpacho), the terrific rice dishes (yummy... read more

My hubby and I treated ourselves to a meal here on a Friday night. We had the set meal for €35 per person. It consisted of several small taster dishes. Ranging from cod, shellfish and beef. The food was like a work of art and tasted wonderful. Like being on an episode of Masterchef. Service was excellent and we felt... More

I went to this restaurant alone and in clothes I use on the Camino. I went in thinking this is a very nice looking place, they won't want me here. Arbidel was nothing like that.. It was such a warm welcome the food was incredible (best I've had all trip) and the staff amazing. They were always smiling and happy... More

We were 5 and only 1 of 2 tables served that evening. The food was outstanding and the service right up there. It' s been the most expensive meal of our ongoing Northern Spain trip but worth it. Its Michelin star is well deserved.

My wife and I booked 21 persons for lunch at Arbidel, for a birthday party on a Tuesday afternoon. We ordered the Degustation menu. Wow, what a treat. We were there for over 3 hours, thoroughly enjoying the experience. Quite frankly, we were worried that taking 19 American guests for such an experience would be a problem with so many... More

The owner of the inn we were staying in recommended another restaurant which we could not find. So, wondering around this lovely little town we saw what looked like a street sign but was, in fact, a sign for this restaurant. Hidden down a little lane we found it, and, as we were somewhat off schedule for normal dining in... More

Although extremely expensive, the food was innovative and delicous. The seafood is top-notch with accommodating interesting preparations. My party of 6, all loved the black-squid-ink rice, which was freshy, salty and unusual in the most pleasant way. I was surprise that this tasting profile was enjoyed by even our younger "fast food" companions. Truly unique ways of preparing traditional northern... More

Our friends who live in Ribadesella took us there during our one week stay with them and it was the gastronomical highlight of our time in Spain! My husband and I were stunned by the unique tastes created by the extremely talented chef and the friendly, professional and helpful service provided. We were in awe of how a simple rice... More

As owners now for some 5 years of a holiday home on the coast of Asturias, we are delighted that the region which we adore for its spectacular land- and seascapes, as well as its sumptuous gastronomy is also the home of several Michelin - accoladed talents as Jaime Jose Uz Diaz, Nacho Marzano and José Antonio Campoviejo. We reserved... More

Not having booked, we were fortunately early enough in the evening to get a table (they were turning people away later). We had been told about the 30 euro taster menu but did not expect it to be available in high season so it was more than a pleasant surprise to find that it was. It was simply terrific value....
