If you want authentic Tapas don't go anywhere else

Increasingly, as a TA affectianado I find myself writing reviews on places that have been recommended to me on TA, which is a bit odd but here goes. Having discovered on TA this was the pace to go for Tapas whilst in LA Linea having gone to Gibraltar for the day, me my dearest and 9 year old... read more

I visited this restaurant twice between the 1st-9th August and it is, perhaps, the best tapas restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food, wine, and service were all exceptional. Further though, the menu is fairly priced. The restaurant is tastefully designed and you're in for a treat if you're able to get a table outback in the courtyard. I'd... More

Great tapas, good atmosphere and fantastic value! Not to be missed if you are in the area. Superb tapas dishes, especially as you would expect the jambon!!

You might want to be there early to get a seat. The first time we wanted to go there around 10ish every seat was taken. We went there earlier the day after and had no problem finding a place to sit. The food was good, but quiet salty, which I was told is normal for typical tapas. They had English... More

i try to get to la chimenea whenever im in the area. simple but tasty food in a good atmosphere. this place is always packed so be prepared to stand and eat either at the bar or whichever little area you can get if you dont manage to get a table- but this adds to the character of the place!

Whenever I am in the area (at least once a year) I do make time for a stop at La Chimenea. It is an institution with great service and delicious tapas. It can get very crowded (understandably) and you might not be able to get a table. It is still worth to stick around and enjoy some tapas and drinks... More

What's more to say? It is truly the best tapas in La Linea no doubt. It is a small place and you have to come early if you want to get a seat as it gets packed really quickly. Staff are behind the counter and don't go around to serve table so everything from ordering to picking up food ,... More

The establishment is a lovely, little, restaurant situated not far from the cathedral in the town centre. The food is fantastic and service is great considering this place can get very busy. Tapas are well priced and won't disappoint, if you are in the area be sure to make time for a meal here - you won't regret it.
