This place is amazing, it's a tiny little spot with really great tapas probably the best I've had. The ladies that work here work so hard and they make the place great. The food is great quality, fresh, flavorsome and interesting, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great. We loved it so went back a second time for more.... More

While it is a little off the beaten track this tapas bar is well worth seeking out and we returned a second time during our stay to sample even more of the delicious tapas prepared freshly by the friendly girls behind the bar. La Chimenea is constantly full of locals which is a great indication of the quality of food... More

Absolutely fantastic place. Each tapas dish was so flavoursome, delicious. The menu has quite a wide selection, the chief clearly has a huge passion for food. I wish we could have visited again. I'd get there early if you can because it soon filled up!

what a lovely find. I had eaten at quite a few tapas places in la linea a lot of which are overpriced and seem to serve up the same Argentinian tapas which seem to consist of a plate of fatty meat! 5 stars to la chimenea...could not fault it, great fresh food, friendly service, lovely atmosphere and extremely reasonable prices.... We had a fabulous meal at this restaurant - there were 8 of us and we all chose a few tapas each and share a bit of everything - must say it was excellent - the service was top class

We tried this place because everyone was raving about but we were disappointed. There are hardly any tables and we had to hovver over people who were eating waiting to jump the minute they left, then people did the same to us, it was all very uncomfortable and very rushed, that and the fact that it was so noisy we... All tapas cooked and prepared to order. No mundane tapas here.Run by 4 hard working girls. When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly Hola. The bar is small and very clean as are the toilets. There is a tapas menu in English.Good food and wine and not expensive.Check opening times.

very good food and very good wine. Menu available in English if needed but you may need to ask for it. Only 4 ish tables available with seating for about 15 so go early as it is very popular. only other comment is that there is no potato or vegetable tapas dishes available; so probably not the best place to... Not the easiest place to find if you're going by foot but worth the the effort, this small bar attracts a wide range of locals and tourists and once you've managed to find a menu in English (or better still you understand the Spanish menu), ordering is a matter of catching the eye of one of the troop of enthusiastic...
