Nothing it's not trying to be

Prepare yourself for an experience at a real small town eatery. Yes, the Lechazo (leg of lamb) is good and hearty, as is the morcilla (blood sausage) -- both rich and savory. The salad is somewhat anemic, but what would one expect in a meat lover's haven? A large party of local folks arrived after... read more

Terrible experience. Told us to wait for 30 minutes and after waiting at the bar for 40 minutes we noticed that they were giving our seats away to other customers who came in clearly after we did. When confronted, they claimed that the other guests had reservations but refused to show their names on the list. Would definitely not recommend... More

Sitting outside with a view of the parador all light up, sipping on some good regional Crianza & eating 1/4 baby lamb.... Heaven! This asador did not disappoint. Try the morcilla also. It was fantastic!

Tapas or dinner, there is a nice menu and a nice selection of wines. The only dish we would not order again are grilled asparagus (from the tin ;-( ) Recommend any lechazo dish, mushrooms, cecina, morcina...

We stopped on our way from Madrid to Bilbao. It is just a bit off the autopista. This restaurant is on a big, beautiful, impressive, mediaeval square. A striking spot. It was Sunday evening so they were almost out of wood oven roasted lamb but we got the last portion and it was absolutely top- rate. They do lots of... More

We had the set menu at around 60 euros for a couple. This included chorizo & morcilla to start. And then the suckling lamb with salad & bread. Accompanied by water and a glass of wine each and pudding if you can manage it. Good value, and very delicious!

Ate here 3 times trying out roasted lamb, steak and lamb chops. They do have other than meat on the menu but meat is the reason to visit, balanced by typical generous Spanish salads. Steak didn't convince, ox might have been on the older side before it walked last steps. I saw better looking roasts served than mine, which was... More

This little bar in the square in Lerma on face value does not look very inspiring but ignore it at your peril!! The food is exquisite and is served on HOT plates. The fillet steaks come highly recommended as the flesh just melts in your mouth. The service is good and the house wine good value for money and highly... More

Located on the Plaza in the historical town of Lerma, this place affords a great view of the Ducal Palace. As well as being in a great location, the food is pretty good. My other half and I ordered three raciones and a main dish to share and we were pretty stuffed. If you have Spanish speaking friends order ahead... More
