Very nice food with a touch of gourmet style

Excellent food, good interpretation of the Bahia typical cousin, recommend trying the Moqueca (fish stew) with lobster. Prices are a little high but not very different from most of the the good restaurants. Add some pepper to the Moqueca to make it even more local. Enjoy.

I've brought a short list of places where I should eat but this one was not on the list. A strong rain made us enter the place for a late lunch... It was a great and good surprise The food was exquisite and the service very good - and after 4 days here I would say that it might be... More

A very nice decorated restaurant and a kind of food difficult to find in most restaurants of the northeast. Sweet and sour, roast and soft, different fruis and tastes. Prices are quite high, but...I think the place it is worth the visit.

This restaurant is set at the heart of the villa, is totally green (from the material used to build it, to the seafood and ingredients bought locally), the service is efficient and frirndly, snd food cooked by chef Tereza Paim is just great. And guess what: it is not that expensive either. Give this starred place a try and you... More

This place is good, we ate well, but the bill at the end of the night came as a big shock. Prices to match the most expensive restaurants in Sao Paulo. We ate at Terreiro Brasil for the following 2 nights and found it much better - and better value.

Living in São Paulo I understand that Brazil is not cheap. However, the prices in this restaurant rival the prices of upmarket restaurants in the city. In short: overpriced. Had a lovely salad and a shrimp risotto the later one was lacking in creaminess it was boring. Quality of foodstuffs is v good. Both puddings were excellent

We only had a small but delicious lunch, and were entertained by the very friendly and English-speaking owner, Tchê. From the outside, the place looks like an anonymous and plain snack café. But inside is a beautifully decorated restaurant.

The moqueca (Bahian fish stew) of fish and shrimp was excellent! This restaurant has a charming, artistic ambience and wonderful food. The seafood was cooked to perfection, not overdone, and accompaniments were perfect. The pirao was especially good. We chose a table near the patio. This restaurant was not on a standard list recommended by our hotel, but the local... More

By far the best in Praia do forte. Choose from perfectly executed "moquecas", typical Bahia dish, kind of a stew with all kinds of sea food, or go to the more authorial dishes. Wonderful service, more than decent wine list (an exemption around), and lovely desserts. Definitely worth (at least) one visit

Excellent restaurant with great artistic decor. We went there at our first night in the city and we couldn't avoid going again in the next night. Food is excellent and inspired. It serves traditional dishes in bistro style with a touch of high cuisine. Ingredients are fresh and service is very polite. It's a bit expensive when compared to other... More
