Travel for work sent me North. Much to my surprise I found an amazing restaurant where I spent nearly all my free time. Excellent food. Friendly staff with an excellent command of the English language. The only down side was that the brew master had left town for the month so I missed the craft beer.

Out of bacalao and "todays sandwich" at 2 pm and the menues was dirty and full of stains. I ordered the baked potato (115 NOK) and it was tasty and perfectly cooked. Arresten is a gem in a town which offers very little. The produce is local, nicely cooked, and good sized portions. The pricing is fair for Norway. I would certainly return if I was to find myself in Andenes again.

This is THE restaurant to go to in Andenes. The staff are truly lovely, and really willing to accommodate any special dietary requests. It's a cracking little place with a great interior, a microbrewery and a load of specialist teas for sale. We ate here 3 times, loved it. Highly recommend.
