A wonderful place to meet friends or just chill and read a book. Nice gardens, shop and book swap shelf. Any age would fit in.

It's a cute French sort of a place. The place has a nice ambience. The ham and cheese crepe was yummy. The coffee and nutella waffle was good too.

do not let the exterior fool, the food here is of top quality. most of the time you will be served by the owner herself. do try out their awesome sandwiches, salads and desserts. great place to sit in the day and just watch people come and go at the restaurant and the small shops attached to it.

A very good location on the sea promenade, with a beautiful view over the ocean. Snacks and good coffee and tea, but no BEER and that is regrettable in such a nice warm weather!

We visited for a coffee last weekend... and didn't stay beyond that. very slow service to even take an order (or acknowledge we were there). nice ambiance and outside area in garden plus inside area near kitchy little shop. but prices and service aren't a match... look for many other options nearby (we continued at cafe rose, for ex--- 1.5... I was in Pondicherry for a few days in November 2014. Happened to wander into this place one morning when I had a few hours to kill. I had a cold coffee and a ham and cheese crepe. Both were mind blowing. I hadn't made crepes at home ever (I was a pancakes and maple syrup kinda person) ... post... More

This cafe is absolutely beautiful and tranquil, one of the nicest cafes I've been to anywhere in the world. I've been here 3 times during my one month stay, which was actually in Auroville. I've had the coffee and the iced vanilla coffee. Food wise I've had the bread with jam and butter, and then the ratatouille with cheese baguette.... More

Go here just for the ambience - get a table outside, enjoy their wonderful banana-nutella crepe and above-average masala chai (masala chai snob here), mill around with the oh-so-trendy crowd. Do it!

As you enter you get all excited about this place and it looks lovely until you see more and then you realise 'WHY'? would you have that store there, i guess it's to commercially make money and then another even worse expo of these idols and chairs. leaving all that aside this place is really good, crepe's and waffles are... 'Twas a rainy day when we stumbled onto Cafe des Arts. Unfortunately that meant that outdoor seating was not an option, but the indoor one was interesting enough (had to wait a bit to get a seat though). Loved their french crepes and the service during the one-time experience was good.
