This a lovely and quite stylish boutique shop and restaurant in the center of the heritage town of Puducherry. Here you can enjoy delicious ice-tea under a pandal roof in cool and quiet shade, healthy salads and lovely service by an all-female staff. The food is very good albeit slightly bland and not cheap, but is certainly very healthy, fresh,... More

A great bamboo covered rooftop, with wifi access and the refreshing cooled lemonade to quench your thirst on a hot day in Pondicherry. Enjoy the boutique downstairs and their lovely leather bags collection.

The place is unique. Has a small boutique on the ground floor & a restaurant on the top. The menu is small but interesting. We ordered the European Thali & it was light & fresh. The pan cakes however were a big mistake. Thick & doughy. They were served with Guava jam which was not very great. Also no maple... More

So...Kasha ki Asha came to rescue one late afternoon when all places were shut for lunch. At the onset the place seems to be really kool - which it is coz its run by a group of women. They reallly sweat it out. Menu is good - however i didnt like the food much.Just average. What ticked me off the... More

Dear Yatrika, I apologise if you were uncomfortable sharing the table. I wish you had told me you would rather not as I would have asked one of the others! Many times people find themselves making conversation between tables at Kasha Ki Aasha even when they aren't sharing so sometimes when we are busy I do make a special request... More

I stopped in to the restaurant on the advice of Lonely planet and lunch turned out to be a spectacular assortment of salad and cheese. Kasha Ki Aasha is an oasis of calm and tranquillity nestled in the old town. Cheese and tomato brushetta along with two salads, one beetroot, carrot and onion with the other being cucumber and tomato.... More

We went to Kasha ki Aasha on 3rd Oct. Had heard about Kasha ki Aasha on various forums. We had high expectations. To start, most of the autos driver have not heard about that place. We reached there by using google maps. We ordered Pan cake, tea and one more item which was European thali or something. Pan cake were... More

Okay, let me get this straight. Experimental or fusion cuisine is probably not for everyone's palate. The staunch purists would balk at the manner in which tradition is being twisted, while the experimenters would state this as the very raison d'etre for this brand of cooking. It probably takes a bit of an exploratory/ adventurous mindset to learn to appreciate... More

Kasha Ki Aasha was a welcome relaxation spot for us. The coffee brought to mind delicious cups I had in New Orleans – asked, and learned that it was organic, and raised by tribals in the mountains – both of.which I appreciate, in addition to the flavor. The fresh fruit was rejuvenating and tasty, and my daughter very much enjoyed... More
