The visit to Pondicherry is not complete unless you visit seaside promenade . This cafe is located exactly at the centre of promenade. The only best part of the cafe is the seaside view it offers and that it is open 24/7. The menu is poor and the food and coffee is average . However , I would still recommend... More

Wonderful location, dot on the beach. But a poor menu with many items not available and not so great staff behaviour leaves you dissatisfied with the experience. Could be one of the best eat outs in Pondicherry, if only someone tried.

The only place in Pondy to enjoy your coffee & watch the waves roll in, a must every evening. Food is average.

Situated bang on the seaside promenade and offering the diners a view of the sea while they have food, this place had great promise. Alas, the food is no where up to Pondicherry standards. I had a chicken steak and the wife had chicken gratin. The steak was tough and the gratin had a weird taste to it.

Rumored to be the only cafe open till late into the night, Le Cafe is excellently situated by the beach on the promenade. It has a beautiful sit out area and view of the sea. The menu looks good but the food is quite average. The iced tea had no ice in it and the hot chocolate, which they forgot to... More

Coffee and tea are OK, that's it really. My title sums it up. The government should serously consider leasing it out to a good restaurateur

Le Café is one of the oldest café by the sea side, location and view from the café is great wonderful, the cool breeze from the sea side blowing against your hair is a wonderful feeling. Seeing lots of people going for their evening walk is a sight to watch and observe. People driving in the most lazily manner watching... More

I can't believe people recommend this place. The service was abysmal if completely nonexistent. After about 45 minutes of hemming and hawing they told me that I'd have to wait half an hour for them to fetch bread for my sandwich (apparently they did not have bread in stock, odd for a restaurant). Finally they said that they were "cleaning... More

Service : Rude people through and through Food: At the most average (and that is actually stretching it) Ambiance: The view isn't that good at the first place and I believe that is one of its selling points. Value for money: None at all Don't think twice about giving this place a skip! You aren't missing anything.

It's a nice little government owned no-frills coffee/breakfast place with a very good view of the sea. I found the prices competitive. Service could have been more enthusiastic, but can't complain too much about it. They serve and let you be. Located right next to the beach with ample seating, you can spend a good time gazing eastward.
