I stayed in this GH with family during last week of sept 2014. The people in the reception are very hard mind people. They are said we are volunteers from Ashram but their behaviors are really very low class, even they don't know how to talk with the guests. They put every where proverbs, but they didn't follow even one... More

It is not a restaurant or a cafe, it is a safe, decent, clean and spiritual stay for every traveller to stay at this Park Guest House. I really enjoy staying at this place, the Sea view and the hospitality of the staff in the Park Guest House. #This_Is_Not_A_Restaurant.

This guest house dies not take reservations over phone. Understandable as is the case with most guest houses attached to the Ashram. But the people @ the front desk definitely need to greet tired travellers with a smile & some warmth. Their booking & payment rules are quite confusing. If u pay for only one day u are not sure... Beautiful view. Spartan but clean accommodations. My partner had been here before and loved it. When we went together we hit a very curt person checking us in. We were there in September, which was HOT and mosquito-filled, so while I would recommend in the winter, I would not recommend in warmer weather. We were on the top floor which... More

This place is supposed to be listed under guesthouses, at the very least. Not a restaurant. The place is an auxiliary of the Shri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry and has rules that are to be followed to the letter. The guest house is not for people touring for fun. They have a whole set of instructions et al. The blaring thing... More

The rooms are spacious and the rent does not make a hole in the pocket. The food is quite delicious and the menu is very well priced. The experience of staying in a room overlooking the bay is remarkable.

Just in case you see this on TripAdvisor as a café, and really want a café experience, be forewarned - really don't know why these reviews are under the restaurant-café section rather than the accommodation section. The most dreadful coffee I've ever tasted :) basic but extremely well-priced food like papaya & curd was fine but it's just simple. There... More

This should be definitely in the guest house category, not restaurant as someone already mentioned. We stayed 4 nights in lovely room (each has its name, not just number). There is very nice meditation garden and basic but good canteen for breakfast. Yes, you need to follow some rules and get back to the room not later than 10:30 pm... More

Very good guest house. Rooms were very clean and spacious. But the staff are a bit strict but apart from that the best guest house in Pondicherrry!
