Enjoyed a nice Riesling along with breads & dips after a walk around the gorge, and finished with the choc tart.. The tart was delish and the wine was very good. Would definitely recommend :)

This is an old vineyard with the original building which is a restaurant and you can purhase bottles of wine to take home. It is a lovely place to sit outside in the sun.

We've been here a few times and it never disappoints. Yummy food, delicious wine (the degustation is well worth it) and a setting to die for. The convivial atmosphere and hosts round off a must-do dining experience.

Tucked away up the hill from sh2 we stopped for wime tasting and loved them so we decided to try lunch. The seafood chowder was perfect and the chicken tandoori dish quite tasty. Service though is unexplicanlt slow and there was only three tables busy when we went.it took 15 minutes for the soup to arrive and another ten after... More

The setting is delightful, the food is good but not great and the service on the day we were there was very hit and miss. We booked a table outside and were greeted promptly on arrival and led out to our table tucked away to one side. It was all looking very promising. However things rapidly went downhill from there.... We were on our way back to Auckland and decided to have lunch here. We were surprised with the very nice staff, good wines and good food, though a bit expensive. Try to get a sit outside especially if it is sunny. The platter was more than enough for 2 with a selection of tasteful dips, good cheese and a... More

After completing a lovely walk we enjoyed a beautiful smoked meat platter and a bottle of wine. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was relaxing (the slightly overweight lab was a great addition!)

Stopped here after doing 6km of the Karangahake rail trail and we were pleasantly surprised. Chowder packed with seafood, chicken pot pie overflowing with tender chicken. Our table of 12 all had food envy each time a dish came out although we thoroughly enjoyed what we had ordered. Although the grapes aren't grown at the winery they have picked their... More
