Exceptional!

We have taken our Sunday Lunch Club to a variety of venues throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Auckland & Coromandel over the last 3 years & yesterday's lunch was judged to be one of the best we have had. Classy fare & efficient service at a reasonable price. We couldn't have asked for more. The... read more

Stumbled across this place after a good hike in the nearby Gorge. Really friendly staff, high quality food (we didn't have pizza but think we must come back to try it!) great coffee. I always like it when an eatery has a very open plan view to the kitchen so you can see everything being prepared - it screams honesty... More

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. The flavors are amazing, such have a delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon in a fab setting. Our South Is friends still say it's the best meal they have ever had. I have to agree. The service is also top class.

After a weekend away at the Mount we arranged to meet here and have Pizza to break the trip home up. We were recommended this restaurant by family who had eaten here frequently and they invited us to lunch with them. Beautiful setting. We were greeting by a lovely waitress and found a seat next to a heater. She took... More

This restaurant is set among trees, approx 1km off highway 2.The service is prompt and the food is absolutely delicious. There is plenty of parking. It can feel a little overcrowded as the dining area is relatively small. The wine list is more than adequate, with mainly N.Z. varieties. This is the best restaurant between Bombay and Tauranga.

We visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday and did not make a reservation. Luckily there was a table available. Apparently it is very popular. We had woodfired pizza and it was nice. Not the nicest I have ever had but a nice pizza with lots of toppings and quite healthy. The service is excellent. Very friendly and quick.... More

What an unexpected surprise. Didn't even know this place existed even though I had driven past 100's of times. We totally loved the whole experience. The food was 'proper food' and the service friendly and professional. All four our meals were tasty and enjoyable. Deserts are to die for!

The place was humming so obviously the place to go for Mothers Day. My daughter had booked us in 5 adults and two kids. Had intended on having pizzas but they weren't available which they hadn't told us when the booking was made. It was a set menu of two courses $40 or 3 courses $50 pp. The food was... More

We stopped here for lunch recently and were seated promptly by a welcoming friendly waitress who explained the specials menu and answered any questions we had. We both chose the seafood pappardelle which was spectacular - no piles of pasta drowned in a nondescript sauce here. The light herby dressing over the pasta perfectly complimented the generous chunks of seafood... More

I visited The Falls Bistro with family and friends on 19th April. The service was very slow and on being told that the deserts were still 12 minutes away( after a wait of around 30mins from ordering) we cancelled them and went to pay. The woman on the desk said we would have to pay for the deserts anyway. This... More
