Lovely view and ambience, decent food

I had dinner at Asador Las Tapas De La Abuela in January. I had read some good reviews of the place and wanted to try it out. I arrived and was greeted by staff, who didn´t speak anything but Spanish, but were friendly and helpful, so we made it work. I chose to sit outside to enjoy the view. The... read more

A recommendation by our hotel best age. Took a while to organise serving as as the young lad was alone and we arrived late while he was bust trying to get bills out. Once I explained that we had a rather long day travelling our meals were on the table within minutes. I remember my prawns in garlic - just... More

We ate here three times during our recent stay in Costa Calma. There are very few restaurants in the area near our hotel and we didn’t want to be all inclusive. A family-run restaurant, there is a good choice of menus and tapas and the staff were friendly.

This is the typical restaurant which can only exist in a tourist place like Costa Calma, where most costumers won’t come back to the same place. The quality wasn’t totally bad, but much worse than one can find in any other tapas restaurant. We ordered: - Tomates majoreros: with this name (majorero = from Fuerteventura), one would expect to have... More

On the outside, doesn't look great, but is. Good wine... Tasty fish and tapas...Lovely staff..Just down the road from the Best Age hotel, and about the only place open outwith hotels ("open to residents only"!!!) unless you take a taxi.

A small family restaurant offering good value home made food, we ordered Tapa's which although nothing fancy was definitely fresh and very tasty. The portion sizes were also quite large.

A typical Spanish tapas restaurant/bar with a good choice of menu. We chose this place to eat as it mainly had Spanish locals eating in it and I always feel this is a good sign. I wasn't disappointed. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and reasonably priced. I would have no hesitation in eating here again and thoroughly recommend it.

we ordered the mixed tapas for two ( 25 euros) and they were disappointing. the portions were big, but everything was fried( and slightly burnt) apart from a sort of homemadeRussian salad and two slices of ham.

This was the closest restaurant to the hotel we were staying in. Went there the second night of our stay and I can say I have never had as nice fresh food anywhere in the Canary Islands and I've been to them all. I ordered the garlic bread with tomatoe to start and it was very nice lots of flavour.... More

The food, wine and coffee was good and served very well by a young man who was attentive and polite.
