Great place for drinks and music!

Our Mexican cousins took us here for drinks, appetizers and the Mariachi music. The restaurant is a huge, open patio with trees and fountains. Our older waiter was not very friendly at first, but finally warmed up to us at the end of our stay. Since our cousins weren't fond of the food (too... read more

You have to try cazuelita, it is a citric fruit drink with your preferred tequila, I ussually don't mix tequila with anything but this combination is really great. Service is good and fast, despite of the crowd.

This is a spacious outdoor restaurant close to the centre of Tlaquepaque. The service is rather impersonal and the food average. The prices are slightly cheaper than similar restaurants in the area.

Came back to NJ craving REAL Mexican food instead of the cheesy, greasy stuff I used to call Mexican and have been on a quest ever since. Would go back in... More

Came to Abajena during the Festival of the Dead yesterday. We had 12 people at our table and thoroughly enjoyed everything from the food to the atmosphere to the mariachis. The place was jammed with people and everything about the experience was delightful. Highly recommend this place.

Came here on a food tour and loved it. Tried their torta ahogada and the sauces were so tasty. Also had their agua fresca de yerba buena & limon. YUM!
