What a delightful find during el dia de los muertos! The town was packed that afternoon, and we couldn't get into a couple of our favorite restaurants nearby. The wait here was about 20 minutes, and we added it to our list of favorites. The atmosphere is very nice, the authentic Mexican menu is extensive, the food was good, the... More

I'm glad I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner! The restaurant was serene, the service prompt, the food delicious. I had the Mole Puebla, and I ate on the patio. Prices weren't too high, by US standards. I would definitely come here again, especially for a special occasion.

The setting is in a historical building, decor is nice. We were given a table on the patio. The drinks were pretty good. The staff was courteous and everything. But the strange part was that after we took our time to order the food, they came back and said half of the items were not available. So a couple of... More

We stopped in one day for drinks and then dinner about 10 days later. The service tended to be slow and inattentive and the entrees quite average.

This is our go to place in Talaquepaque. We live about an hour south and love spending a few hours in town shopping and looking around as well as bringing out of town guests. San Pedro is great for breakfast or lunch. They have a special that includes fresh fruit, juice, great coffee and either an omelet or baguette with... More

The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed that day, but people in the area suggested Real San Pedro, and we were glad they did. The menu was had many choices, the quality of food served was great, and the atmosphere was excellent. The restaurant is located on Calle Juarez a short distance from the very center of Tlaquepaque.... More

This was a great restaurant recommended by a local from GDL to us when we told her we'd be visiting Tlaquepaque. My boyfriend's lunch, coconut shrimp, was delicious! However, I got an entree of fish in a gray, gelatinous sauce that was incredibly unpleasant. The food was also pretty pricey! Partly because I don't speak Spanish and partly because I... More

I reviewed this restaurant in January of 2012 and thought we would try it again. If our memories were correct from two years ago, it seemed that the food had improved since the individual entrees had a more complex flavor. Definitely a recommended restaurant in Tlaquepaque!

The Real San Pedro, located in the heart of Tlaquepaque on Independencia, offers courtyard tables and an indoor section looking onto the pedestrian street. Our mid day brunch was excellent and matched by professional service. I recommend the Colung Salad, a tower of tomato and goat cheese on a bed of brilliant green spinach with drops of mustard and pine... More
