Visit the courtyard......

If possible, ask for a seat in the courtyard because you will definitely like it. This place is great for lunch and dinner. During my last visit I had lunch, a lovely soup with fresh bread. This is a reliable standby in Tlaquepaque. Try to come mid-afternoon when the all-woman Mariachi band is in attendance (don't forget to tip them!) - they are really good and worth the trip to this restaurant just for them. The food is unspectacular, but reliable and tasty. Prices are a little high for what you are eating, but still reasonable.... More

For us, it's the entire experience that we love. The atmosphere is lovely, service very good. The best part, is the female mariachi band. So much fun, and unique. Every afternoon at 3 pm. Another unusual aspect is that they have a lovely gentleman who is making clay figurines For you to purchase for a tip!! Such a lovely moments... More

We were told that this place was a great spot and we were not disappointed. When we got there the service was great. While having drinks a pottery artist set up and started making different mini sculptures on his wheel and gave them out for free, he even took requests. Obviously everyone tipped him. Then an all female mariachi band... More

There's always live music at El Patio. An all female Mariachi band came in and played for over a half hour - they were excellent. We ordered chile sonorense (stuffed with arrachera beef) and chile en nougada (stuffed with nuts) - both were delicious.

Great spot to listen to music and great food and tequila. The food was simply amazing. Try the Carnitas and the Roasted Bone Marrow....

While walking on Independencia street we noticed an all female Mariachi band, we listened and then followed them into El Patio where they performed for sometime. They were great and really fun. Then a clay artist came to our table where we were just drinking iced tea, and offered us a gift of a clay piece he had just made.... More

A fun place to sit and have a snack and rest your feet from shopping and wandering the beautiful streets of Tlaquepaque. The cafe de olla is delicious! And we were serenaded by an all-female mariachi band, which was so special.

We walked by this place and were drawn in by the sound of mariachis and we are glad we stopped. Beautiful and refreshing patio seating, service was fast and hospitable. We had a mar and Tierra Mocajete which was just right for two people to share. We ordered a side of guacamole which was very good. Mixed drinks were good,... More
