I have lived close to Guadalajara for a number of years and whenever I have guests I make certain that we go to Talquepaque, sometimes referred to as: The Rodeo Drive of Guadalajara, (which it is not), but the nearby city does offer good shopping and one of my favorite restaurants. El Patio. It is always full, mostly Mexicans, which... More

We love going to Talaquepaque area of Guadalajara. We have been to El Patio at least a half a dozen times. It is worth a one time visit for lunch as it is very pretty. However, I live in Mexico and find the food expensive for the area and nothing special. If you want to see the female mariachis they... More

We ate here for dinner and had fish which was terribly dry and chewy. It was a nice atmosphere and the staff were very nice. Pity about the food.

The place is amazing and every day from 2 to 5 they have a Mariachi as well as a couple of traditional dancers, after that show ends they have what's is called "trova" really lovely, and the atmosphere is incredible, everyone having a great family time, I recommend the "virria" as well as the "tuetanos" and "la cazuela" this last... Of being our "go to" spot in Tlaquepaque! We have finally come to the conclusion that we enjoy El Patio for lunch or a mid afternoon snack and GREAT margaritas! We really appreciate seeing many of the same staff from trip to trip with them recognizing us each time. While the food is slightly above average, it is the overall... More

The food was delicious, we had the tortas ahogadas and a tequila drink that they served in a casserole (I think it was called casuela) that was full of fruity tasty yummy. We just ordered 3 appetizers and that was plenty of food.
