I was diving at TSD and was invited to the Christmas Day meal at Oscars. The menu was fixed and they served a five course meal. It was very delious and perhaps the best meal we had on the island all week. Based on an English theme the meal was very plentiful and complex with great flavors. Keep in mind... More

Hi, Thank you for your kind review, and we are so pleased you enjoyed our Christmas dinner! We always try to make sure everyone can have a bit of tradition on Christmas Day, even if they are on a tropical beach! As you mention this was the grand re-opening of our newly extended kitchen and restaurant, and it was chef's... More

The Best Bar in malapascua island for cocktails and drinks. The restaurant closes late afternoon, They have a huge list of cocktails which i didnt find in any other bar in the island (see the drinks menu pic i uploaded). Their happy hour from 4pm-6pm is a must visit as they offer buy 1 get 1 . The bar is... More

Hits and missed. Filipino dishes and sandwiches are not bad, but you can find similar food for less elsewhere.

This is a beach restaurant with a nice sea view. The food is OK, above average but not sensational. It's the friendly personnel that makes the difference. People made jokes and laughed most of the time that I have been there, so I had quit a good time. If you like the spicy food, try the local Sisig. It is... More

As we were diving with Thresher Shark Divers, & Oscars in conveniently located in the same premises, we were pleased to find that their menu was just right for lunch, with a variety of western dishes & Philippine specialities - in fact we ended up eating here 6 times for lunch.....definitely for us a lunch place, didn't really appeal for... Took crew out for dinner, food and ambience was good. When it came time for the check we were served one of our courses in a take out bag with an apology that they forgot to serve but we were to still be charged. I asked to see the manager and he was very unprofessional and asked us if "we"... More

I have been to Malapascua several times over many years as it is close by and great diving. the last 3 trips I would estimate that we would eat 60-70% of all our lunch and dinners there. They have a good selection on their menu and their daily specials never disappoint. Staff a great (as most are almost everywhere on... More

After a long stay diving on Malapascua I managed to try pretty much all of the restaurants. And out of my top ten meals, nine would be from the ‘specials’ menu at Oscars. As well as the standard quite excellent menu of breakfasts, light bites, huge pancakes, sandwiches, Filipino and English staples (this is a British dive resort, after all),... More

Oscar's was such a wonderful surprise. Don't let it's laidback, unassuming amniance fool you. This place has some of the best tasting dishes in the island. It has a diverse menu, from British, to Indian, Indonesian, Filipino fare, and more. The nasi goreng was fabulous! The pratha was divine! And the fish and chips, just wow! Hands down, the best...
