Overpriced and bland

This restaurant was probably the highest priced in town but the food did not live up to the price. Small portions. Staff was pleasant though.

The service was great once we had called the waiter over. The staff turned out to be very friendly and accomodating. The food was just OK, certainly not bad but nothing out of the ordinary either. The price was about what you would expect for a drink each, a basket of totopos with salsa and a decent sized main plate.... More

Probably this is the style of restaurant that a tourist look for, but is nothing special. It is just an artificial place with loud music and expensive food. Small restaurants in Chacala have better food, but probably not decorated artificially as this one. We were there for dinner, but we decided to get only a drink. BTW the drinks were... More

We thoroughly enoyed Chac Mool. Everything we had was excellent. From coffee to their grilled shrimp tacos with jicama tortilla. Everything was fresh and served very nicely. The staff always had time to talk with us and made us feel very welcome

My family and I spent this last weekend in Chacala, it was 8 of us, for lunch we decided to go to Chac Mool... Our bad, the food tasted really good but the service was awful, the worst ever. 7 of us decided to get something from the menu and my brother took a plate from another reataurant ant the... More

Good food, something for everyone. Drinks, tacos, appetizers, main dishes, the Mango Sauce Fish is addictive. Has an inside with children's play area and lots of palapa covered tables and chairs outside in the sand.

I'm so thankful for Chac Mool and their team for a wonderful place to hang during my Chacala vacation! It's right on the beach, so the view can't be beat. The staff were (so!) kind and friendly and the food tasted fresh and delicious (try the jicama tacos!). Worth a visit!

This place started as a wine bar four years ago but now serves three Meals a day and most of the food is quite good. The staff are exceptional and try hard to speak English if you need help with your Spanish. On the most beautiful area of Mexican beach I have seen.

If you visit Chacala, you'll end up here; do so with confidence--it's a wonderful place! The food is interesting and fresh, the owners and staff are fantastic and the beach is lovely. My partner and I stayed IN the restaurant with our 5-month old baby and while it could get loud at times, we would do it all over again.... More

Three of us Londoners ate here last night as it was the last place open at what we thought was 20:30. All beach front restaurants were closed (they were quiet in the day anyway, a Thursday). It looked corporate with flashy printed big menus on wall. I wanted a whole fish and saw it for 120pesos. In we went. We... More
