We discovered this place in Chacala this season. We love their friendly relaxed service, the food is great and you can sit and enjoy the beach with your toes in the sand. Great coffees and baked treats!! We appreciated being able to rent a paddleboard here, very convenient! We hope that they will get a few more boards to rent... More

By all accounts this restaurant is top-notch! The Mahi Mahi with mango was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Combined with the friendly, English-speaking staff and the great ambiance, this makes it our favorite restaurant in Chacala. Plus, when our car broke down, the owner helped us get in contact with our car rental agency. Chac Mool... More

From what I read, this was basically the first real restaurant in Chacala. They have a huge selection of food and drinks, a clean kitchen, and the best pina colada and seared ahi steak I've ever had. The staff was friendly and we basically sat in their chairs on the beach for 10 hours one day.

I love the sound track, the friendly staff, that I can use the wifi for hours for the cost of a bottle of water. The fish tacos on jicama tortillas are special. The Gran Plantain dessert is so great we had to order one for each of us the next time. We had dinner with friends, just fine thank you.... More

This restaurant was probably the highest priced in town but the food did not live up to the price. Small portions. Staff was pleasant though.

The service was great once we had called the waiter over. The staff turned out to be very friendly and accomodating. The food was just OK, certainly not bad but nothing out of the ordinary either. The price was about what you would expect for a drink each, a basket of totopos with salsa and a decent sized main plate.... More

Probably this is the style of restaurant that a tourist look for, but is nothing special. It is just an artificial place with loud music and expensive food. Small restaurants in Chacala have better food, but probably not decorated artificially as this one. We were there for dinner, but we decided to get only a drink. BTW the drinks were... More

We thoroughly enoyed Chac Mool. Everything we had was excellent. From coffee to their grilled shrimp tacos with jicama tortilla. Everything was fresh and served very nicely. The staff always had time to talk with us and made us feel very welcome
