Quirky

Strange place in the 'new" Chinatown in Southport. Find a very plastic table, decipher a weird menu, then order and pay at counter. Get your own cutlery and china cups to drink your BYO from. Just wait, not long, for some delicious food. Pork brisket with noodles is fantastic, pork prawn dumplings... read more

Went to this restaurant for the 1st time tonight based on the reviews from TripAdvisor and we certainly weren't disappointed. The service was excellent, we were shown to a table immediately despite not having booked. Our immediate waitress was a trainee who was very pleasant and friendly. Her superior offered to take our order but we said we were happy... More

Excellent Food . Not your average Chinese restaurant, interesting and unusual menu and food. Authentic chinese food not the boring Australian versions.

We dined here a couple of nights before New Year's Eve and the place was packed out predominantly with Chinese families. The food was again excellent but the staff were simply struggling to cope with the crowd and there was a lot of waiving at many tables trying to get service. Wait staff's English was a bit of a problem... More

I have been eating regularly at this establishment for many years now, you can be assured the food is fresh authentic, genuine tastes great and reasonably priced , the owner /Manager is always willing to help you through the menu to try and explore many different authentic dishes you only need to ask, we have gone as a Group of... As a follow-up holiday visit, since we enjoyed our previous visit, we were pleased to see that the key point, the food was just as good as last time. In fact, there has not been much change in any aspect, the décor is the same, service was still equally good, so we were very happy to return. I put more... More

Authentic Chinese food - not Hong Kong based as we were reminded. Since they have reopened they have no desire to serve westerners. Wait staff speak very limited English and many cant or wont read the specials to you. You get seated away from the oriental diners. We have travelled most of Asia and eaten just about everything. Their actions... More

This restaurant serves great food at a very reasonable price. Don't expect a dessert menu , there isn't one but do expect very good food with subtle flavours. Take your own wine, although wine is Verry reasonably priced from a modest wine list. If you are travelling from the North you have to u-turn after the bridge on Gold Coast... More

This is such a terrific little neighbourhood find in an easy to miss corner of Labrador. We were looking for authentic but affordable Chinese food on a Sunday evening. We were not after anything too posh, just pleasant surroundings without one of those disgraceful tanks full of tragically doomed crustaceans. Fu Kang was busy with Chinese families when we got... Food had great portion to them. Beef was very nice and juicy. Vegetable was very crunchy. Price is also very reasonable. The only thing was that the fish dish was abit not so fresh and is fishiness was there when we ate. overall was still quite enjoyable.
