Very entertaining and great food

We had a great time, our chef was engaging and made for a great experience. If you are staying at Royal Pines, it's worth a try.

Arakawa is a charming little Japanese teppanyaki restaurant in the rambling Royal pines complex. There are a multitude of long menu options available but we select a rather attenuated smaller selection. The meal begins with a warm salted green soy beans followed by – Seared prawns and scallops “suomono” style with sea flora, cucumber, shiso and toasted sesame. The next... More

Do not stay at Royal Pines without eating here. It is one of the better eating options they have. If you are in a large group, book a private dining room for the experience. Good fresh ingredients used, helpful staff and warm atmosphere.

We recently had dinner at Arakawa and chose the teppanyaki option. We had such a fun night with an interactive chef who cooked us an absolutely delicious meal. We enjoyed watching our chef cook in front of us and interacting with the families at our group table. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try Japanese as they also... More

We have stayed at the Royal Pines Resort countless times and never though to eat at the Japanese restuarant here. But this time around, we decided we would give it a go. We were going to book in for Tepanyaki but, having been disappointed so many times recently at various other restaurants, I just didn't have the heart to waste... More

We had only our entree in our progressive dinner at the sushi bar and we wish we had a full dinner there. The sushi bar is very nice and traditional and the sushi we had was of very high quality. The teppenyaki looked like a lot of fun and we really want to go back and try it out. Great... More

We have been a number of times given it is in Australia. Based on such a great experience, we also tried it while overseas in Los Angeles. It was good in LA, but they really showed what a difference it was here at Arakawa. Simply amazing all round. The food is brilliant. Go for the mixed dish for around $70... More
