Christmas lunch (fixed dishes/wine) cost $205 per person. There was absolutely zero Christmas ambiance, the service slow and poor, the food bland, (one small dish served per hour) and a loud 'market' band from Nimbin or Byron Bay played no Christmas music. An expensive, dissappointing non-Christmas lunch.
Great presentation and service, 6 course degustation. Every dish was so so. Nothing with wow factor apart from appearance.
What can I say, this place was fantastic, the service and the quality of the food just blew us away, the various mouth watering flavours in each dish was superb and the desert selection was just simply awesome. To sum it up it is a fine dining experience, expensive but well worth it and a place that I would recommend...

Last week I dined at Room 81 and it was spectacular! The atmosphere is chic, the wine list is perfectly selected and the food... indescribable. From the Pork Belly and Scallop entree, to the Lamb main and the simply irresistible Brownie dessert, Room 81 certainly knows a good night out! Very happy diner.

We ordered three courses and they were all amazing. The time between each course serving was perfectly timed and just perfect. Great service and big big tip -- make sure you order sweets as they are delicious! Highly recommended to all.
