Pride of the village

I live near this cafe, and for me it is one of the first highlights of the area I want to introduce my friends too. Perfect coffees, amazing food, and friendly staff. I'm a very lucky local.

We were only there for coffee and a savoury scone but had it been later in the day we would have found a lunch choice difficult. Food in the cabinet is very attractively displayed and the environment was warm and inviting on a winter's day.

On a cold wintery day the lure of Pukeko Junction's seafood chowder was hard to resist. A short drive from Christchurch it is well worth the effort. The food is made on site and looks like my country aunties used to dish up. The bread accompanying the soup is deliciously light and fluffy, with a crunchy crust. The interior of... More

We stopped into Pukeko Junction on our way to Hanmer. The Seafood Chowder was the perfect lunch on a chilly day. We returned on our way back through a few days later for a sweet treat. The Brownie was to die for!! Great service, and an even greater selection of delicious food. We will be back!

Called in today for morning tea or rather, morning coffee. I had the sausage roll and managed to smother myself in pastry flakes and was told off by she who must be obeyed, who had the the scone. Great to see folk actually producing the food they sell. Shows commitment. Thanks will call again and again!

Consistently great food and coffee, new sweets are a big hit, our current favourite is the Sticky Date loaf warmed with caramel icing! Perfect with a great flat white!

Made a special trip from Christchurch for lunch. We were able to make a reservation on ANZAC day and there was no surcharge . The bacon and egg pie with salad was impressive along with the salad great coffee and great service. I will always go back
