good!

Quaint little place, odd name lol. We had a nice little table on a side verandah overlooking the river. Menu was a nice surprise, husband happily had venison stew, while I had shrimp and very delicious fresh cut fries. Sudden rush of people came in and the only server was a champ, friendly, calm... read more

Great casual dining and big portions of good food! Super home cut fries and gravy! We've visited before and it has always been great.

This is a great place to go to after a day of exploring in Algonquin Park. It has tasy, home-made food. Today I had the lunch special: home-made macaroni and cheese with caesar salad and garlic bread. All delicious. My spouse had the musher burger--home-made patty on a fresh bun--with hand-cut fries cooked just right. The fries reminded us of... More

A good place to eat in Whitney but liked it alot more before they made the only dining area with a view of the river into an art display area - I want to come here because I'm hungry, the best art is outside the window of the room they closed off to diners. Food is good and affordable.

Three of us for Wednesday lunch by Snowmobile. The "B" trail runs right past the parking lot. Very 'snowmobiler' friendly with racks for helmets and gloves. Good comfort food and daily specials. We all had the $9.99 special and it was just the right quantity of good food to warm us up for the afternoon on the trails. Friendly, efficient ,chatty... More

I recently travelled to Algonquin for the weekend and had dinner and breakfast on different days at the Mad Musher. The food, although very simple was delicious. The value was certainly there. The Décor is lacking and the establishment really needs an upgrade, but that wouldn't stop me from going again. On my first trip I had the mad musher... More

After a long rainy week in Algonquin Park we stopped here on our way out for a hot cooked meal. The service was quick and quality. Coffee refills and hot food. What more could you ask for?! The portions were large and the view out the side over the river was lovely.

We had excellent service and great home style cooking here. We would definitely stop in on our next trip in the area.

My husband and I had our honeymoon at the couples resort and after the first night we were done with the food. We decided to try this place with the strange name :P the atmosphere was just like a grandmothers place -nice and homey. The service was fast friendly and decently priced. We loved it so much we ate there... More

The Mad Musher has a interesting name and I wondered what to expect when I entered the place. The décor had a bit of wilderness kitsch, but I would have liked to see more of the snow sleighs and hunter trapper stuff on the walls. This indie restaurant was very busy in the middle of the tourist season. From the... More
