Very attractive, well-stocked shop and cafe

This is a lovely place. I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food, but called in for a drink which I had on the sunny patio out the back. The staff were helpful and the deli and shop looked great - unfortunately I was on a hike and couldn't stock up on things here. But I was glad... read more

Lovely shop, the staff were friendly and treated our 12yr old daughter so nicely. Had a lovely coffee and sat in the back yard. Will definitely come again

Winchelsea is a small village off the A259, most motorist drive past, or drive thru the village. To maintain a butchers or cafe the amount of paying customers has to be there. This is so variable that the butchers and cafe had to close. This is a shame but they have made the best of things by allowing the customers... More

No cafe open no meat for sale one totally disinterested member of staff in the place! Very fine veneer to the place but does not deliver with either produce or service. A lot of expensive items also a lot that had no price! Will definitely not be going back. SF

We were sorry to hear that you found our items too expensive. As for the lack of meat, our butchers counter closed one year ago, unfortunately it was not sustainable. Our tea shop closed on the 11th January this year, again it unfortunately was not sustainable. We now offer a takeaway service for hot drinks, and customers are welcome to... More

We simply wanted cups of coffee and a cake with somewhere to sit in comfort. We enjoyed a Mocha and a Latte with doughnuts in the sunlit courtyard at the rear of the store, doughnuts excellent I must add. There were some fine plants for sale in the courtyard and we purchased several of these to take home at half... More

We visited this shop after looking around the wonderful gardens in Winchelsea. Although not the full coffee shop service we experienced the last time we were here, we still left fully satisfied! This is basically a general store for the village, with the bonus that any of the food in the shop can be eaten in the lovely courtyard area... More

When we walked in none of the staff said hello, not even a smile. Surroundings and decor superb, staff terrible! We had to hunt for staff to serve us, paper cups, no vegetarian options. What a shame - could be wonderful if they had staff that cared.

We were sorry to hear of your experience upon visiting our shop, however, I would just like to confirm it was in fact our premises you visited, as some of your comments do not appear to make sense to us. We have a full compliment of staff, and there is a bell in the Coffee Shop to make yourself known... More

Visited here hoping for lunch but there was so little available we had to settle for a drink. Service was awful...we were hardly acknowledged and I had to ask if they had a menu. We later witnessed other customers standing at the counter being completely ignored as the waitress made drinks. The waitress didn't know the price of items and... More

Have just purchased and eaten in the Winchesea Farm Kitchen shop & cafe and have to say it must have upgraded again reading other critical reports. I was there Sept 2014. WE sat outside with very comfortable rattan style seating and tables. Food coming out of the kitchen looked delightful and we enjoyed cream teas and cake all on china... More

We stayed nearby, and this shop was a godsend. Great deli foods, superb local produce, and a brilliantly decorated cafe serving top-class coffee. It was good when it was The Little Shop. It's even better now.
