Well - I for one am delighted by the lack of background music at this delightfully informal shop and tea room. We were luck enough to start a circular walk from Winchelsea on a beautifully sunny morning by having tea, coffee and cakes in the garden of the Farm Kitchen. The dog - a new addition to our family -... More

We have visited village before, and popped into shop also a coffee shop, shelving and displays looked very modern and nice but all posh brands and quite bespoke items. Butcher shop also within, Walked into back room where the small tea room is, nicely decorated, too cold to be outside so sat at nice table and chairs. Looked good selection... More

Why were the farm kitchen open on Tuesday, 4 February 2014? We walked in and went to the usual room at the back where they serve their beverages etc. Found the room very untidy with boxes all around, no tables set etc. No one around. I decided to find someone to serve us and there was a gentleman in the... More

Fabulous Deli. Very well stocked. Lots of local produce (meat, veg, charcuterie, beer, fruit juice etc etc). AND a fab cafe. We had tea and my wife judged the scones A1 whilst my Guinness & Ginger Cake was as perfect as cake can be. And lovely warm staff and a lovely garden area. Thanks!

I met up with friends who live in Winchelsea they have never eaten here before ,but were very interested after they got a Flyer through their letter box . It tells of the Autumnal menu. We have just had a lovely lunch including the Elms Farm Platter, which is a selection of home produced and cured Pork,Beef and Ham.with coleslaw and... More

You know when you walk in somewhere and it feels like none of the staff want to be there, well we didn't either after we received our food. We queued to be told to sit down (having had several members of staff walk past us) and looked at the menu. The menu was really helpful as it allowed us to... More

Pleasant surroundings, very good quality food and drink. I didn't find service as slow as some other reviewers, and the staff were very friendly. I only had coffee and cake there, both of which were very good

We have been here three times when visiting the area and have always found the staff to be very friendly. I note the scones had a bad review previously but we had them and thought they were ok. George has a good sense of humour and actually likes to chat when he's not busy. We will certainly visit again next... More

The setting of the café is very nice. The cakes and coffee are good but the service is chaotic. You sit down and can wait 10 minutes just to get a menu. The staff though friendly, seem to be more concerned with chatting amongst themselves than focusing on their customers. Unfortunately it's just amateurish. I find the best approach is... More
