Looking at the reviews, maybe they had a bad day or their normal Chef was away. I ordered a well done Sirloin Steak with Pepper Corn sauce. When it arrived, it was no bigger than a McDonalds beef burger and just as thin It was burnt, dehydrated and a tough as bark. As I was with a group I did... More

After passing this pub for many years a friend and I stopped in for lunch. I wish we had stopped sooner. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious, and reasonably priced too It will not take us as long to stop there again.

I always say that you can tell a great pub or restaurant immediately you walk in. That is certainly the case here. The owner is charming and helpful and runs a great ship with a superb chef and great staff. The beers are in lovely condition and the fish just stunning. I asked for my fish not to be battered... The pub / restaurant is in a quiet village of Graveley near Stevenage. It has plenty of character (wooden beams etc.) and overlooks a pond which is nice in the summer. There was 8 of us for dinner. There is a good pub meal selection and prices are very reasonable. The staff are very nice and the food and service... More

This pub / restaurant is in a quiet village of Graveley near Stevenage. It has plenty of character (wooden beams etc.) and has seating outside overlooking a lovely pond. Great on summer nights. My husband and I re-located and upon doing so, relied on 'word of mouth' and TripAdvisor to find the best restaurants within a 20-mile radius. We came upon the Waggon and Horses. For summer, it's a great place to enjoy a mouth-watering burger, salad and chips on the outside patio / courtyard. For winter, there's homemade, mouth-watering dishes beside the... More

Lovely pub, very clean and tidy. Oak beams everywhere with open fire. Staff very helpful. Couldn't believe the prices on the very extensive menu (very low) so wasn't expecting too much but was very pleasantly surprised. The food was smashing. Where else can you get a decent fillet steak for 14.95? If you're after a good, filling and tasty meal at... More

Lovely meal crayfish salad very fresh and plentiful chicken pie was to die for. All piping hot and veg cooked to perfection. Even had a dessert unusual for me apple pie gorgeous. Service excellent. Only thing stops me giving 4 stars is in winter tables very close to the toiletsbut not their fault as an old small olde worlde pub.
