Had a nice evening meal in the hotel. We really enjoyed the view as the sun went down. Portballintrea is a beautiful spot.

We love the Bayview and usually thoroughly enjoy a meal there. Wonderful setting, great views and friendly staff. We went early evening on a Saturday night and enjoyed a window table looking over the bay. The menu has changed since we were last there and for the worse in our opinion. The a la carte menu was just a bit... More

Lovely family meal was enjoyed with spectacular views of the bay. At this time of year it didn't seem too overcrowded and the service was very efficient.

Popped in on saturday night of Halloween. I dont know what was more frightening the Halloween entertainament outside or the meal myself and my family had. The stale bread starter, frozen olive oil dip, withered olives and sour cream dip where horrendous. The mains faired no better my goat burger was dry beyond belief with no effort at all on... More

We ate here on a quiet Thursday night, taking advantage of the Early Bird special. The choice was good, as was the food when it arrived. Staff were excellent and we had a table with a great view.

We ate here as a family of 4 (with 2 x 8 year olds) on a Friday night in October - we went for the early bird menu. All staff very friendly & professional and Restaurant itself was very pleasant with fantastic views over the harbour, especially at this time of the year with spectacular red sunsets. To be honest... Took my husband here for his birthday as I had heard good reports about it. Firstly views are lovely and the restaurant is very clean although its looks slightly like a school canteen the way the tables are laid out and quite close together. My husband had chowder to start and I had garlic ciabatto the portion size was good... More

I stopped in here for dinner after a long day of walking the Causeway Coast. First, the view is quite nice overlooking the Portballintrae bay if you get a table next to the window. Second, the food was surprisingly good. I ordered the Sea Bass tempura which insider have high hopes for but turned out to be good and with... More

The food was neither good, nor bad. It was ordinary fare. It was fine after a long day of driving. The portions were good, but it was not the best.

We have eaten here many times but this is my first review. Great value on the menu before 6.45 but the whole menu needs a refresh with a few more daily specials keeping it lively. Fantastic views if a little too warm in a sunny day - turn up the aircon I say.
