I have been to Bengal Spice many times and enjoyed it. Friday night was terrible. A group of 15 went here to say goodbye to someone leaving for a meal. We waited in total an hour and half for our main course. We got there at 8.05, we left at around 10.15 not because we all were having a good... More

I mainly eat curries when away on business, and very rarely when at home, but the Bengal Spice impressed us so much that we will have an Indian more often when at home!

The food and service here are superb and this has become our local "indian" which we have visited over the last three years. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes, if you like it hottish try the mustard chicken. My only minor quibble is that the floor running along the centre of the restaurant is wood and there... My partner and I visited Bengal Spice after reading several good reviews and I am so glad we did. From the minute we arrived staff were friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing. We shared several starters including onion bhaji's and they were so delicious, fresh and there was no grease in sight! The poppodums were warm and... More

Had my first and last takeaway from here, tasteless, and both mains - one chicken and one vegetarian - had exactly the same sauce

Mixed kebab for starter was excellent. Thoroughly recommended. Chicken balti with nice but the vegetable pilau was very nice indeed. Staff were very attentive and polite. Very good prices too.

Very small premises but Great Service, Fantastic Indian food and amazing value for money. I have been a few times and cannot wait to go again. The hot flannels and after eight mints are always a treat to end your meal with.

One of the East Midlands' Smaller Indian restaurants, Bengal Spice offers more range than the usual Anglo-Indian fodder. The service is excellent, the food is fine, the price is among the lowest in the area. This is our 1st choice when we want a restaurant in Long Eaton
