Average food slow service

e visited this place because it is proclaimed to have the best chicken in Martinique. The food was really quite average, the service was slow. The place was definitely full. The prices are expensive for what you get and the reputation is not really deserved

Very nice dishes, in particular the creole dishes and barbecue, excellent service. It's almost like eating on the beach, with tables and chairs set out on the sand

This restaurant is right on the beach. They bring the lobsters up from the water, clean them, split them and grill them right there. It was delicious. Dan had ribs and liked that also. I could have passed on the Barak Obama cocktail but had to try it. If you love lobster you should not miss this place

Nice play on the French word for shed (baraque) but its certainly not that. A great seaside restaurant allowing you to sit by the shore or across the road indoors. We were taken there a Saturday lunchtime by our Martiniquan hosts and the lambi (conch) and snapper were excellent. Its clearly popular with locals and you can see why. It's... More

Rustic place, but crowdy and busy. Fish is good (lambis) but too salty..A good place to go on saturday although there's a lot of people. Service is not the best..

The food was very good and the location right next to the water was great. I went there twice as the food was good, however each time they just seem to have new people serving. Whilst they were friendly enough, it was really slow with no organisation. I got used to slow service as that is the speed in Martinique,... More

the food at la baraqu'obama was average at best. It was the most reasonably priced, but the service was very poor in comparison to the other restaurants right near it Case Coco and Calin Creole for example.
