We have eaten here many times and were disappointed to learn that it has closed. But Gold Vine Grill is still open!

After stumbling upon my previous review of this place I was curious to see if it was still in business, to my amazement, it is. I'm also not shocked to see numerous terrible reviews that corroborate my experience. I'm totally convinced that whomever gives this place a good review is likely an employee of the place. Any breathing human being... More

What a disappointment. First, on a Saturday night, the main chef was not there and it showed. Second, stewed chicken and fried pork.....really? What is creative or inventive about this? Third, stale desserts. I hope more people read these reviews and stay away.

I am not a fan of Italian food because it is so boring with the red sauce and heavy pasta. What a refreshing twist! We had flavorful lasagna with a blueberry sauce. The cheeses blended perfectly and the sweet flavor of the blueberries added depth to an ordinary dish. He does not use and abundant of herbs and spices, which... More

This place is just not worth any price. We heard about the concept of "no menus" and we were excited to try this thinking we would get the chefs specialties of the day...evidently the chef did not go shopping that day or we got left overs. The food was just not good...the prices were high...which would not have been an... More

Four of us traveled to FairPlay to have lunch at Boccanatos. We recalled the excellent meal we had there a couple of years ago and wanted to visit again. The concept has changed in that there are no menus. This can be a little difficult to get your mind around. If go with it and either make a request or... More

What a horrible experience! We had had a great trip to Fairplay--we visit the area once a year and were excited to entertain friends from the Midwest! What a mistake! The chef tried to pass off beef as lamb, sauces made with gorgonzola cheese were made from flour and margarine, and the "homemade" vinagrette dressing was from one of the... More

This was the worst dining experience that my wife and I have ever had. Do not waste your hard earned money on this restaurant. It is a disgrace to the friendly, hard working people of Fairplay. We visit the Fairplay area several times a year. Having many friends in the area we end up at BBQ's most of the time... More

No menu, Chef Gioivanni makes what ever he wants for you, 5 courses..and price ranges for each course. My wife and I split each course and had asked our waitress to tell us when we hit 100$ on our bill. Had we not bought the 34$ bottle of wine, we would of gotten out of there right at 100$ and... We were thrown for a loop at first when we realized that we wouldn't know what we were going to be served or exactly how much it would cost but, once we settled into the whole "this is just like when you go to a friend's house for dinner and you get pretty much what they are serving" idea, we...
