Mariscos Trailer in the Square

Loved the ceviche. Loved loved loved it. Seafood so fresh yet english so bad. Either practice your Spanish or just learn to say Ceviche. Inexpensive but fantastic. If you ask for a beer with your lunch, they'll run and get one for you. Met these guys years ago, they are serious about their food.

Absolutely the best! My husband and I visited Nuevo Vallarta in April 2012 and asked a taxi driver where to recommend a ceviche stand or restaurant. We told him we wanted authentic Nayarit-style ceviche. He recommended Mariscos El Payo and boy was he right! It was the best ceviche I have ever had and I eat ceviche a lot! That... More

We stopped because Pedro convinced us we wanted to go into the restaurant! We have a drink and tacos - oh my - 3 large chicken tacos each. Took 2 back to the hotel. They were good and great price. Went back for dinner another night and was smarter - shared something! Pedro was off that day - too bad,... More

We are staying down the beach(40min walk) and wanted to walk to Bucerias for a local bite to eat and some shopping. A local on our resort suggested this resturant, their shrimp and/or octopus cocktail....the shrimp cocktail was huge! My husband and I shared it, at least 30 very good sized shrimp and we had two Coronas and asked for... More

We love the food - it's all good, and the staff are what makes Peyo's so special. Our favourites are the echilladas and the Crab stew (has a whole crab in it). They also run a cart on the plaza which is good too. Try the shrimp cocktail - nothing like the ones at home. A family run restaurant with... More

We stayed at one of the all-inclusive resorts in Nuevo Vallarta. It was fun, but the food was just the standard resort fare. Not bad, but not great, and way too American-friendly. We went into downtown PV one night and ate at Pipi's, which was fun, food was good, and the guac was really good, but I wanted to try... More
