Great Seafood, but eat on the deck

We heard about this place and had to try it. Overall great quality seafood. Prices are higher than you would expect. We had the calamari and the big scallops. Both were excellent and the serving sizes are ample. Eat on the deck. We ate on the beach but have to contend with walk up vendors... read more

Super jumbo shrimp fresh and beautifully cooked in a number of different ways. The shrimp platter has it prepared four different ways. This is the place for largest shrimp in the PV area. Reasonably priced and right on the beach. Service is good and they have live entertainment - an Mexican hombre that sounds like Rod Stewart! My wife took... More

Plan your late afternoon / early evening to be at Fat Boys. Start with a margarita or cerveza as you watch the sun set over Banderas Bay from one of the best beach restaurants in Bucerias.. Friendly staff, excellent food. The fajitas for 2 are incredible.

Pretty much what you would envision a bar/restaurant on the beach to be. Initially thought that Davie, the entertainer, was a little cheesy. Turned out to be pretty good. Played and sang, song after song, without missing a beat. What a memory he must have. You could tell he really enjoyed what he was doing. The beer was cold, the... More

We were pulled in here by someone on the street and decided to eat here because we could sit in the sand on the beach. The main downside to that is being interrupted every 45 seconds or so (seriously) by non-stop vendors. I know, this is Mexico.....but I guess I would sit inside next time as it's a bit much... More

We initially stopped at Fat Boy Seafood quite by mistake, but we went back on purpose! The food is great, and portion sizes are large. We ordered several plates to share, and we all left full! The atmosphere is laid back and fun, and don't forget to write your name on the wall, ceiling or anywhere else you can find.... More

We went to this restaurant because we met some people who were raving about it. Too bad we did not have the same experiance. The scallops we ordered were way over cooked and pretty well unedible. Also the avocado shrimp was not as good as we had at other places at a way lower price. Although they reduced our bill... More

Very good food. Extremely busy place. Right on the beach so vendors can come to your table regularly. Regularly meaning every few minutes or so. However our food, and table service was very good. You do pay for it though…Not cheap. Huge shrimp!!

The food is pricey, but good. I had the seafood soup and it was excellent. The downside is that street vendors, (like the ones on the beach at a resort), are constantly stopping by your table, even as you try to eat!!

We stopped by Gordo's (Fat Boy) during a beach walk. What started as a "let's try this place" ended up as one of the best meals we had during a three-week stay. Suffice it to say that Gordo's became one of our regular restaurants. The food is very good, with the fajitas being stand-outs. The service matches the food, and... More
