Service was slow but only for a reason it is good You won't be disappointed they close early but they need time to recoup for the next day

The food at Sweet Thing has always been great. I love their breakfasts and salads at lunch. The problem, for me at least, is that the service was always incredibly slow. Now, it's been sold and will be under new management in the fall when it re-opens and "rumor" has it that the menu will be different. I will definitely... More

In our last trip to Bucerias we ate breakfast three times at Sweet Things. If you know the quality of food in Bucerias, and 20 something year olds ability to get up for breakfast, this must mean it was great. They had some of the best (read strongest) coffee I've had in Bucerias. I am a sucker for eggs, the... More

In our 5 years as full time residents... Sweet thing has been a regular pleasure. The food is consistent and always awesome. Two things that are difficult to find in small Mexican towns. When it's busy you do wait for your food.... Because it's a small kitchen.... But the food is worth the wait.! 🍞🍪🍳☕️

The location leaves a lot to be desired when you have all the other ocean front restaurants around. The food is great even though the service is slow.

We are locals and it was our first visit to Sweet Things. We heard they had awesome cinnamon rolls and we were not disappointed! The hot breakfast was also very good. The hash browns stole the show for us though! Would go back just for that. The prices are very reasonable and the environment is friendly and homely! We will... More

Just wanted to thank you for your kind comments and support as we transition ownership at this location. Still the same great team in place, with a new boss who is just getting his feet wet. Staff and Sandra doing a great job training me though. All the best...John More

The restaurant is now under new ownership. The food is delicious, you can't beat the bakery items. I have also had the salads for lunch. More than I can eat. It's great home cooked food. Do not miss this.

We've been visiting Sweet Things since it opened, and have always appreciated the good food and good service. I especially appreciate the gluten free baked goods! Fantastic. John, the new owner, is very friendly and open to all suggestions. The only thing to know is the service is a bit slow- we don't mind because we're in paradise, but if... More

Easy to walk to from Nuevo Vallarta. Expect to be greeted at the door by the new owner, John with a warm welcome and big smile. I would recommend sitting upstairs because of the nice breeze. Are there 2 days in a row. Getting your food is a bit slow, so be sure to start out with a homemade cinnamon... More

We eat here at least a couple times during the season, mainly because it is our children & grand children's favorite breakfast place. The food is terrific, but be prepared to wait a LONG time. We love the bakery. The bread is great, you can buy wonderful dill pickles, and the cinnamon muffins are legend. My only objection is the... More
