Wanted to try this restaurant for several years so it was on our "must do" this year. We were ready to experience a top notch french restaurant. The food was Ok but lacked seasoning. Found ourselves adding salt for flavor. Charming atmosphere and good service. Owner was pleasant.

I would like to start my review with a link to a story that I hope puts things in some perspective for some: "It's just dinner" http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/features/restaurant-reviews-have-we-become-a-bit-precious-about-describing-flavours-and-textures-10052426.html Le Provence offers a warm family environment with good, homey food at a GREAT value. Having lived in Puerto Vallarta for eight years, we certainly did not expect a five star Le Bernardin... More

My husband, 14 yr old son and I ate here during our 10 day stay in Nuevo Vallarta. As much as we love Mexican food, it was so nice to have a French experience near the end of our visit. We had a 7PM reservation and were given our choice or seating in the garden or on the veranda. My... More

Our experience at Le Provence went well for a short time. The country pate was tasty, if served with only 2 little cornichon, no mustard and very inferior bread. Escargot were good, not too garlicky and the goat cheese salad was also good with mesclun greens and sliced strawberries. That's where the goodness ended. Beef Bourguignon was not that at... More

We LOVE Mexican food. HOWEVER, sometimes in Mexico, you just want to savor something else. Le Provence Was SO MUCH MORE than we expected. It's located on the veranda of a lovely, quaint, home off the major streets of BUCERIAS. With no reservations we were greeted and completely welcomed by the owner Christine. Her husband chef Eric prepared us a... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. Both the peppercorn and mushroom sauces were excellent. The profiteroles for dessert were also wonderful. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The service is excellent.

It was our first time back since the move and the food was still excellent and the new location from the bustle of downtown is much preferred.
