Jambalaya has great tasting food at good prices. I did expect this restaurant to be a little more authentic in its surroundings from the many reviews I had read, but I would go back for the food.

The Ribs were Fabulous! Huge ! and Tasty ! A little American Flavour was a surprise in Whangaparaoa . The restaurant was just over the road from the Bayview Manly B & B where we were staying - walking distance. Great Spot !

Very lively and friendly on a Friday night visit. Food was very good. New Zealand accent on Southern American recipes. We ate Jambalaya and Gumbo. Both were very tasty.

We came across this place by accident, but were so glad we did! Great atmosphere, excellent food (highly recommend the pulled pork burger) and great service. Strongly suggest you book before going to avoid disappointment.

Jambalaya is one of the most consistent restaurants I have ever visited. The staff are always friendly and not constantly checking if everything is OK (a pet hate of mine). The food is excellent, the ribs are some of the best ribs I have eaten anywhere in the world (and I've had ribs in a lot of countries). The shrimp... More

Pleasing American diner style experience at reasonable prices. Good steak and onions on a bap. Would happily go again.

We were staying at Little Manly, and were delighted to find that Manly Village, with its collection of cafes, shops, and restaurants, was only a short distance away. On our first night, only really wanting a light meal, we decided to eat at Jambalaya, which describes itself as having a New Orleans style of cuisine. American country music was playing... More

Have been here before and came back for more. Had a half serve of ribs and it was more than enough - great flavour and meat falling off the bone. Followed by pumpkin pie (my first time) which I quite liked, not too sweet. My friends both had the Key Lime Pie and were a bit disappointed as it tasted... More
