Parklands is a really friendly place to visit if in Turangi. The food is good and enjoyable but basic type food and is well presented and enjoyable. We always eat here one night when staying in Turangi.

Good food - steaks cooked just how we like them. Not rushed between courses bud did not have to wait for ages for service. Cosey atmosphere inside the restaurant when the weather was very windy outside.

This is the place for simple food and a quiet dinner. My orange roughy fish was well cooked and served with delicious vegetables. My daughters lamb cutlets were a bit overdone. When we finished the meal our waitress cleared the table and we sat waiting for the bill which never arrived. Eventually I asked another waitress where to pay and... More

... to the 80s, and you will know what to expect. Steak, chicken or fish with salad, fries, potato or steamed veges. Seafood cocktails. It's good honest food with no pretensions, and the service was friendly. Our night was rather spoiled by the orange roughy fillets being served cool and undercooked. By the time we could get the (sole) waitress's... More

Despite the "truck driver" look from outside, the bar and restaurant is a real gem. We enjoyed a great meal, had decent wine and the young last serving was extremely good. Don't miss it !

Quaint, regional fare served, but the best part is the bar tender. Extremely friendly and very knowledgable re: single malt Scotch, great selection of some of my favourites which was a very pleasant surprise for a small town.

A birthday party arranged for 40, The dining room had been dressed with beautiful yellow roses, balloons and black tablecloths, looked stunning. The little befores were imaginative and the staff circulated well. The buffet dinner to follow was excellent and plenty for everyone. All in all a splendid evening with little stress to organise. Thoroughly recommended. Thankyou, thankyou

The T-bone steak I ordered was juicy and medium; just the way I desired. The omelette we had came with very savoury fillings. The hot brownie with ice cream was one of the best I had eaten- the brownie was moist and creamy, and the vanilla ice cream complimented the cake perfectly. It had intrigued me who don't normally fancy... More

We ate here as a family of three and were very impressed with the decor, service and food quality. All meals were as described and very well prepared. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive. We can highly recommend the steak and lamb dishes and the side of vegetables were cooked to perfection. Overall a very nice meal in relaxing... More
