Fantastic quality, excellent value

This was a real surprise. Delicious traditional evening dining, accompanied by tasty local wines. A very small operation of one waitress/manger and head chef with two young support staff, somehow effortlessly managed around 25 covers across the evening. The food felt like it was prepared with care... read more

We were holidaying in Taupo and went for a long drive and came across this lovely little restaurant. It got good reviews on TripAdvisor so we decided to try it out. We had a wonderful night. I loved the white wine and my husband loved the red. We had salmon and steak and both were delicious. Even our teenage son... More

We found this little place tucked away from the main road between Motuapa and Turangi. Went for a family meal expecting to pay +++ as based on reviews it was going to be pricy but it was worth every cent. We were greeted well and with an extensive wine list which we thought at around $8 per glass was very... More

Excellent food with local wines to sample. Portions can be a bit small given the prices. The menu is interesting and the outlook nice with a large deck area.

This is a nice little restaurant located close to Turangi. My wife and me went there after we cross famous Tongariro as this was the best choice in this area. We ate baked salmon, beef fillet, seasonal salad by side, chef's selection of breeds and dips and white chocolate cake for dessert with acompanied wine for reasonable price. All dishes... More

We were delighted to have found this place as there is little of any quality in the area and this was unbelievably good. The standard of cooking is excellent and the menu is varied and well priced. Friendly staff and relaxed dining inside and out. The balance of flavours and combination of ingredients reflected the talent in the kitchen. Having... More

I loved being here even though nobody else was in the restaurant. Lots of effort, good nourishing food, pretty setting.

My wife, nephew, his girlfriend and I had lunch at the river restaurant and vineyard, the setting is a delight, great open space,, giant board games on the lawn. We were very pleased with our meals, which we found to be realistically price.. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable experience, I would not hesitate to recommend
